Maybe I missed it, but did they have some kind of into? If not, get some kind of intro.

This isn't complaining, it's a topic for constructive criticism. We all want the best possible for esports, and if they're delivering a sub-par product and we don't tell them what's wrong with it there's no possible way to improve. There's flaws in everything and nasl is no different, and the faster they're fixed the more chance esports has to take off in a big way.

I don't mean to be "that guy" but gretorp needs to be replaced.
Being a radio or TV personality has three basic requirements:
1) Be cool 2) Have a good voice/presence 3) Know what you're talking about
I feel like gretorp, while a great player, doesn't actually satisfy any of these requirements.
When I hear things like "6 rax is all-in and he can't support it!" and "SO MANY BANELINGS!!!" and just so many very forced faux-epicness really detracts from the quality of matches here.
edit: "I meant standard in that he doesn't cheese...... HEY SHUT YOUR MOUTH" (referring to kiwikaki and responding to incontrol for calling him out. Jesus fuck please fire him.
InControl sounds almost as bad, BUT you can tell he is just raw and I really think he will become a great commentator. I don't think there is any hope for gretorp.... at all.

I think just a few things, in game music playing, better microphones (audio doesn't sound too clear to me), and sometimes the scores aren't displayed midset. Good start by NASL so far, I look forward to how it develops.

I agree completely. Better castors would improve the experience a hundred fold

Agreed. The damn thing isn't even over and there are already threads about what they did wrong... At least give them a little bit of time before shoving complaints down their throat. The OP seems to have good intentions but starting a thread like this so soon is only going to draw out complainers and whiners who will never be satisfied.
Personally I am very happy so far, the one thing I am a little disappointed about is the stream quality. When it first started the quality seemed to be very good but once the viewer count rose above 10k or so it seems like they lowered the quality. That's understandable seeing as the stream started to lag, lower quality is definitely better then lag, I still hope it's just a temporary thing though. Other then that I love it so far! =)
EDIT: I take my complaint back I switched from the stream on the nasl.tv site to justin.tv and it looks great again!

Music would be really nice to have. It really makes the gsl feel alot more awesome, why not put it into nasl too.
|
Music would be good. Beyond that, it has been an awesome presentation. Lived up to the hype IMO.
|
Consistent Volume Levels.
A summary show with highlights of the weeks games could be cool.
|
My only complain is the commentators. Both are very smart and high level players but aren't the best with keeping up with the game tempo. They are also very loud and honestly I muted all the games after the first series. Gretorp is too much especially when he raises his voice, I can't deal with it.
|
Put a compressor on the caster channels please.
|
1) The volume level varies too much. NASL needs to buy a compressor/limiter. It's a standard equipment for almost any TV/music production.
2) To incontrol : Don't talk over Gretorp. Ever. Get broadcasting tips from DJWheat.
|
Liking most of it. Gretorp and InControl are clearly not as experienced as Day9/Dj Wheat, but they are decent.
But that observer needs some work. I really didn't need to watch that overlord at the empty top left main for ten seconds near the beginning of Grubby vs. Moon game 3.
|
i actually think everything they r doing is great and wouldn't want them to change anything. different mics would do and the in-game music would also be good. but i think everything else is great
|
|
I personally don't mind it but there is an obvious biased by both of the commentators. I like the setup. Game after game with minimal breaks is really good. It has been a good night thus far.

So true, not sure who thought up this idea to be both professional and cool at the same time, but it is just so bad.
Why not just wear a tuxedo t-shirt?
Maybe GSL will read this too.
