Bought GSL season 1 - got disappointed by lag, bad quality and worse then slow VOD download speed (and im on cable so I consider my connection more then enough to run several HD streams at once) 2. dump as I am I bought GSL season 2 and hoped they fixed the issues as promised - ended up like in season 1 3. never bought a GSL ticket again and never will 4. was a second away from buying MLG Dallas HQ Pass - remembered GSL - didn't do it- thanked god! 5. will never ever buy a ticket for any event again without waiting at least for season 2 and buy it then when season 1 runs smoothly You should give GSL another chance man, things have changed a lot since the first seasons I didn't have streaming issues since season 3, the HQ quality is way better and VODs are up faster without the need to buffer them any longer GSL is finally where it should have been right from the start, sure it sucked back then but better late then never i guess ![]() as to NASL, I really like the idea of free Bo3s on youtube and if I like whatI'm seeing I'll get a pass (the new website restored some hope too)

Wanted to pay, submitted payment details and what is the result? Error 500 - page cant be displayed - instead of Payment confirmation. So, if you consider buying: give it a few hours (its 8:43am GMT now), or else you might end up in payment limbo without knowing if your payment went through or not.

$25, that translates to roughly 17-18€, is nothing compared to the cost of those movies and TV series, when you consider it's over 3 months. Hell, I'd gladly spend $50 or more each month in SC2 tournament tickets/passes, because they give me endless amount of entertainment at any time I want. 5-10$ for GOM ticket, $9 for NASL (25 for 3 monts / 3 = 9$ each month) + another league or two = $20 + 10-20$ = 20-40$ each month on SC2 tournaments. House Season 7 DVD, amazon: £25.99 = $42.51. And as I said, I could watch 4-6 seasons worth of stuff in 1 month. I'll gladly pay for the entertainment SC2 tournaments give me, and I'll most likely pay for this NASL pass too.

Starcraft 2 streams and VODs are one of my favourite things to watch while on computer. TV-series, movies and stuff cost a lot, and I can watch 1 season worth of video in less than a week. You can imagine that costs a lot in the long run. $25, that translates to roughly 17-18€, is nothing compared to the cost of those movies and TV series, when you consider it's over 3 months. I haven't gone to the movies and paid for it myself in years, and furthermore I don't have TV (not even basic cable). DVD's? Yeah right! Why? Because I can't afford it - same reason why I'm not buying the NASL, same reason I've never paid for a GSL season. It sucks, but there's not much I can do about it at the moment. At least there will be a low quality free stream that's on at prime time where I live, which is all I could ever want. It's sad to see people who bought the pass try so desperately to justify their decision to the people who haven't bought it or won't buy it. At the rate SC2 is growing, however, by next year it'll easily exceed $50/month on premium streams if you get em all, and that adds up very quickly. Same thing I said in the "Will you buy GSL S1" thread last year.

Yeah right! I don't assume. That was just my personal preference. I understand people have tough times with money, and maybe they just don't like SC2 that much. What I did wanted to point out was that $25 isn't THAT much compared to the amount of content it brings. That doesn't mean you have to pay. You don't have to buy anything if you don't want to have it. I'm just saying, they didn't overprice the pass compared to other forms of entertainment.

That's half the price of a new DVD for about 50x the content.

Asking them for free VODs is like asking them to do all of this for free. It's just a stupid and childish idea. Quit complaining. Yeah, all the little lemmings like you have no grounds for complaint, after all, you get "tons of content" that you know you want, right? But hey, imbecile, what about all those people who don't give a shit about starcraft? You can't tell your non-starcraft friend to check this out, because he'd have to drop $25 on it and that ain't happening. That's why this pricing scheme is prohibitively constrictive to growth. Its a bad long run business decision, is bad for community growth, and confers negligible financial benefit. Its obvious that the people running this think like you do, ie they have no business acumen. The free youtube vods were announced after this debate started. Its a nice step, but having people like Husky represent the institution is still suspect. Oh and btw NASL, having a half dozen typos on every page isnt good promo either. Cant predict the quality of the service but 20 buck for 3 months seems to me like not a high price at all considering SC is your main vice of choice, for the casual watcher it might not be worth it but then again the free stream should probably suffice to those people.
