25$ for 3 months, its a good deal, if you are to cheap and want to get everything free go for it, but using adblock so you dont support them in any way? You sir are a douchebag congratulations, Also making them rich? The 25$ is so they can continue to fund the tournament its not making them rich.

$25 for 3 months is more than Netflix, just to keep things in perspective. $25 for 3 months of VOD access to 1 tournament? its just not worth it to me. maybe if my parents paid all my expenses or i could sit at home all day watching VODs id see things differently. but speaking as a student working part-time, $25/3mo is not an enticing price.

and whats the point in calling someone a douchebag on an internet forum for using adblock? the commercials will likely be a part of the cast, in between games or whatever, and the premium VOD access will just cut them out. if the free LQ stream has set timered ads that can go off DURING games, there's no way it'll sustain viewership.

Hes a douchebag because he wants in no way to support nor help NASL/e-sports, if watching the commercials is like justin.tv, every viewer watching an ad helps the streamer, why not do it? Also 25$ for 14 hours of content a week for 3 months is a good deal, no matter how you look at it. If you can't afford it ok thats fine, dont buy it? Also you dont have to just sit at home in your parents house watching VoDs all day to be able to afford to spend 25$ on entertainment, you just have to have a job or a source of income.

I wish TV was only $25 per month here. It's more than double with less content and missing most American shows.

Not being a frequent movie watcher myself, and being a starcraft 2 enthusiast, I'd be willing to wager lots of TL/SC2 people would say $25 for NASL >>>>> $25 Netflix. Good argument.

I dont agree at all. I wont be renewing my netflix. The vast majority of the movies I want to watch arent even available on that stupid site. Such a ripoff imo.

yea, the low bandwidth mode for Canadian Netflix is pretty sad.
if there really are that many people that would rather watch Code A level players over shows like Breaking Bad and Mad Men, then i really underestimate the level of obsession of the SC2 community.

Doesn't the NASL last for 2 months, not 3? I just looked at the big event tracker and it says that the NASL will be running from April 12 to June 11th, which would be ~60 days. GSL May, however, runs from April 18th to May 14th, which would be ~30 days.

I don't want to use up $25 on a tournament that prides itself on running 3x the amount of time that the GSL does, while in reality, it's 2x.

If they feel like saying that the NASL runs for 3 months because they're different months, people arguing against paying for the NASL should say that the GSL is running for 2 months.

Oh my God let's complain about misinformation and refuse to buy something that is good for esports because they said 3 instead of 2.

Are you kidding? 33% less content than advertised is a pretty big deal. If jumping off a cliff was "good for esports" would you do it?

People aren't buying NASL passes because they want esports to be successful, they are buying them for the content. As such the 3 - 2 distinction isn't trivial.

If you didn't know, a month is a long time. A lot of content can be produced in a month.

Question:

Is this really a "subscription" like it said in an email after I purchased a pass for this season? It said your subscription will be automatically renewed or something.

I really don't want them to automatically bill my credit card later. I mean I'm all for supporting E-Sports, but this just seems extremely shady if they do that, when this thread advertises it as a "pass" which implies it's a one-time purchase for this season.

I just picked mine up, but I noticed it says $25 under my Credits page. Is the presale over? Not a big deal either way as I will happily pay $25, but I also don't want to just throw away $5.

Anyone else bought today/recently?

I just bought a few minutes ago, and the email said I was charged $20, so you should check that.

The Division play is nine week long. After division play, there's also playoffs, open tournament, and the live grand final lan.

Three months, not two.
Thank God and gunrun.
