here is my POV
Lets look at it NASL-$25 for 3 months GSL-$10 per month Current Winner: NASL
NASL-Most of the first few months matches are replays, then live in LA GSL- always has live games Current Winner: GSL
So for 3 months we are pretty much paying $25 for VODs to watch a recording of a recording? Nom saying, since they are casted from replays. Now you can say, well sir there will be hundreds of more VODs, well with that being nice and all, is it really worth your money?
The thing is, I absolutely do not like how they marketed the NASL.
So we have our showmatch, which most people can agree was a train wreck then they come out to the community and tell people, hey tickets are up please buy!(as now I have been informed PayPal has not even been implemented yet, so they lose even more customers.) They could have come out with some kind of marketing commercial atleast! Something that would show, "hey this is our quality, this is how it should be" type of thing instead of continously just telling us "hey support e-sports, this is going to be great I promise."(real qoute from incontrol said it many times on SToG) In the real world, for the most part, a new company cannot just say hey buy our product it will be great. They have hardly marketed this thing effectively, and as we can see from the front page, the percentages dont lie. I have skimmed through the thread and noticed people will wait and see for the quality, but if they had a marketing video, they might of actually been able to grab a good number of the people on the fence my 2 cents

How is that an excuse?
What I'm saying is, that hours of daily content for three months is CHEAP for 25$
In addition to that, you also support the scene and E-sports..

Question for those who have subscribed to JTV channels before. The subscription invoice states that it will last 1 year and then have a recurring payment. Does this mean I should instantly cancel the subscription to avoid having it take another $25 next year? (Let's be honest, 1 year from now I can't say I'll remember having a subscription to NASL season 1)
Details Your subscription started at April 08 2011. It is now active and will be automatically renewed on April 08 2012.
Your plan: NASL Season One Pass ($25.00)
Next invoice date: April 08 2012

The more I think about it, the more it seems worth spending $20 even though I haven't seen anything. The sheer amount of content I get for $20-$25 is ridiculous.

You'll have my $25 momentarily and looking forward to PayPal support in the future. Can't wait for Season 1 to begin !

I instantly canceled the subscription, because there is no way that I would remember to cancel it 1 year from now. Unfortunately, now it seems like I am not able to watch this seasons vods :\ When I try to watch the vods that are up now, a message comes up that tells me that I have to buy a season ticket. Im not sure to who I shall contact, justintv or nasl. I have sendt an email to jtv now, and hope this will be sorted out, would suck if I had to pay another 25$ :\

Will definitely be getting this once paypal is available

Something tells me JTV has this setup wrong and they need to be made aware of it. This isn't a normal subscribed service in the strict sense they are accustomed to handling. It's a "duration" but having paid we should have access to the content forever (same as GSL) without being charged again.
Is NASL going to make mention of this to JTV or do we need to as the subscribers?

I'm in exactly the same situation, and justin.tv won't reply to my emails. Please let me know if you get anywhere with this, I'm having no luck at the moment

Will paypal be accepted before the season starts? [Just want to know, so that I can wait and paypal, or go ahead with a CC]

Me too. I was super excited for the NASL, but if this doesn't get fixed, I will be pissed. It makes no sense for it to be a subscription, so I just canceled it as soon as I saw the subscription thing. Now, it appears as though i am F'ed.
UPDATE: Well, it seems like they just refund you when you cancel the subscription. I just checked my credit card and it shows a refund from Justin.tv. Silly way to do it, but I'm not getting ripped off anymore, so I'm cool with it. Have no idea how this will work once the season starts though.

Isn't every VOD a recording of a recording? :o Also no, it's live casted but broadcasted later, that's not the same as casting from replays.

I'm not seeing a refund on my account yet, how many days did it take to come through for you, if you don't mind my asking?

This except I will only pay with Paypal being from Germany.

I have a problem paying money when we're not offered the replays.
I don't mind paying money for entertainment; because that's pretty much what we get. Production value with great players and casting. Kind of like paying for cable television.
But if I can't look at replays and improve my game based on them, then I don't feel it's worth my money to support the league.
The community has always been about helping people out and making everyone better in an effort to make the scene as competitive as it should be.
Current replay sites don't charge for replays, at the very LEAST, the replays should be accessible if you pay for the ticket.

You don't get the replays for GSL either. It's so that somebody else just won't cast it themselves, put it on Youtube and everyone flocks to go see that instead of watching it through NASL. This isn't greedy, it's just business.

Am I the only one that dislikes replays? Live events ftw. Still on the fence on whether or not I will be purchasing the pass. Paypal permitting I guess.
