People need to recognize that $25 for a 3 month season = $100 a year, which is a lot for mainstream video entertainment. Unproven, non-mainstream products (and let us be clear, this is a product) need to be priced more accessibly if they wish to grow their market (Your friend tells you to watch this "awesome" new thing on the internet, just $25!!! You ignore him ofc). The bad situation is made worse when you factor in the demographic NASL is appealing to - young people don't have much dough. Furthermore, NASL's choice is barely revenue-maximizing; if they went with a more accessible "$10 for HD; free LQ VODs" they would sell far more tickets, make up most of their lost revenue, and significantly increase the growth potential of their fledgling industry. A (initially) 25% smaller prize pool would not have hurt them in the slightest. NASL's current pricing scheme wagers the institution's success against what will amount to a pittance in relative terms. Lastly, this obviously poor pricing decision is an indictment against the competence of the organizers (which itself is already a matter of concern given their inscrutable website), and arguably against their intentions as well. I don't anticipate a well-run show. PS - Go IdrA.

Furthermore I have to say that sc2 is far more popular than BW ever was and somehow that means that being a fan is more expensive than it was in BW, and I think that's bullshit. I'd rather keep SC2 quiet and keep it free than expand it's popularity and have to pay, and that seems like the most backward mindset compared to what I've thought about e-sports over the past eight years.

Ill keep my adblock and LQ stream cause its not about the flashy quality that makes a good game, its the good players showin off skill. 25$ for 3 months, its a good deal, if you are to cheap and want to get everything free go for it, but using adblock so you dont support them in any way? You sir are a douchebag congratulations, Also making them rich? The 25$ is so they can continue to fund the tournament its not making them rich.

![]() ![]() I will be watching, if my job lets me: NASL + GSL + TSL... don't know if i'll have time for MLG (maybe nationals?), since i've heard a lot of negative stuff from MLG Dallas. For me it's a great deal since i pay $10 bucks for GSL and i only watch Code S and Code A Round of 8. If people are getting the SQ live stream for free, don't know why they are complaining, you've got options at least. Live and let live. (sorry for the bad grammar)

The 25$ is so they can continue to fund the tournament its not making them rich. $25 for 3 months is more than Netflix, just to keep things in perspective. $25 for 3 months of VOD access to 1 tournament? its just not worth it to me. maybe if my parents paid all my expenses or i could sit at home all day watching VODs id see things differently. but speaking as a student working part-time, $25/3mo is not an enticing price. and whats the point in calling someone a douchebag on an internet forum for using adblock? the commercials will likely be a part of the cast, in between games or whatever, and the premium VOD access will just cut them out. if the free LQ stream has set timered ads that can go off DURING games, there's no way it'll sustain viewership.

Hes a douchebag because he wants in no way to support nor help NASL/e-sports, if watching the commercials is like justin.tv, every viewer watching an ad helps the streamer, why not do it? Also 25$ for 14 hours of content a week for 3 months is a good deal, no matter how you look at it. If you can't afford it ok thats fine, dont buy it? Also you dont have to just sit at home in your parents house watching VoDs all day to be able to afford to spend 25$ on entertainment, you just have to have a job or a source of income.
