simple.
Mainland china: rurhrururururururururrhrurr (you know what I'm talking about) Taiwan: no rurhrurhrurhrjrururruurrurr

In fact the 9.9 is the price of DVD, bisides that, you need to pay RMB 20/month in order to play with others. wow it seems like it is easy to buy a chinese SC2 account. would like to try the china server. Currently in NA but I play on both NA and Kr. Lag free. But I think it will lag if I play in China.
I think so, China's Internet speed sucks..

Ya, mainland china likes to add a bunch of er's all over the place.

the sounds are sooo sick :D

I'm ethnically Chinese but my mandarin Chinese kinda sucks, but I'm really digging the voice acting on these units haha. I especially like the stalker ^^
|
Do some repeat or does they really have that many lines? xD
And thanks for sharing
Edit: I wonder if they will make more versions (especially Cantonese) or if this means China will quickly become all Mandarin
|
China is already pretty much all Mandarin, I highly doubt they will do a Cantonese version, even though I would love it.
|
Bwhahaahahaha dammit I want to play the Chinese version. I'm Chinese and the dubbing is vastly superior to English. The siege tank is actually a funny guy. Hellion sounds soo much cooler.
It just goes to show all they really need to do is redub a lot of the terran units to give them a lot more character. The current English version feels dumb.
Hellion is so funny! Insects, high protein! He says that! lol I'm laughing.
Thor actually sounds like a cool guy, not like stupid Arnold.

Their internet doesn't suck, commoners can get 16Mb/s internet for about 14 USD/month
Also the siege tank's lines are hilarious:
+ Show Spoiler +"The target is ... WHERE??!?!"
Edit: I'd have to agree, this dubbing is superior to english. It contains elements of Chinese humour, which is pretty funny
Also, the hellion
+ Show Spoiler +"Insects, high protein content"
Medivac:
+ Show Spoiler +"Oh no, we're all getting injured and killed! Just joking, look how scared I got you."

I translated some of the dubbing of the first URL I post just now, hope you can enjoy it!
Where's the target?
Yes, Sir!
Heavy Metal is comming! Go!
The Fire's Roar!
Speak, please! I could not sitting!
The Mission must be achieved! Creeping is not my style.
Fire destroys the world!
I'll take it! No problem!
Give me your order!
Louder! Do you want to explode something into ground?
What?
Couldn't you leave 30 yards from me and stand there still?
I like smelling the burnt smell of the remains which fills the dawn.
I do not need to fire you, I just rolling forward from your body.
Fire for me, boy!
Why can't I go without you, my siege tank?
I stared it for a long time, now I come at last.
He fired a bomb and then...WOW, I hit it, I hit it. Never leave any chance to enemy!
A good team needs a good tank.
Many years ago, when I feel bored just like now, I sang a song: Beta Beta Beta, I am tank driver Beta.
I am waiting for your order.
Defence is good, what kinds mission you wanna give me?
Who's not convinced? Do as the command, buddies!
Hey, it seems the fucking armor has growed on my body.
You say, how could I go to washing room while wearing this?
No matter where I shun, they always count me on.
This is my rifle, we keep together all the time. When I lost it, I lost my life.
I thought I would go to my vocation after the combat, but now, eh..forget it.
The feeling when you shoot others is ....my hands are numb.
Do you find that why we always go out from barracks but never walk in?
Once upon a time when we were in the trainning camp...sorry, my rifle gets stuck.
Thank you, Sir. Can we do it again?
Ready for move!
No Problem, Got it!
I will take it. I know, don't push me.

Thanks vizhi_j. Interesting stuff. Hope you get a chance to add the others.

Yeah a lot of Chinese humor, somebody at the Chinese dubbing department is really smart. They really get the culture.
A lot of lost in translation but there is WAY more cultural references in the Chinese than I feel there is in the English.
Battlecruiser has hilarious lines:
I'm seeing double, oh well destroy both anyway Shit shit we're going down, everyone man their stations while I get the hell out! Face this direction, full speed ahead, anything in the way, just obliterate it anyway Quickly finish this battle, we have a party to go at night What are all these blinking lights? This kind of low level flying gives me a lot of nerves My cap flew off, I'm going to go get it (in reference to hot shots, which is a big movie in China) I drank too much, I have too much shit to do
Thor What do you need a thick worker for? (something in regards to like hard labour) Hand it to me then!

Guys, the English ones arn't too bad either. I have to recommend everyone to check up on the stalker if you havn't already. Made me laugh out loud. Lines like "I have pictures of you... hundreds of them..." lol can you imagine a protoss saying that? ^^

It's more of a "Northern China" vs "Southern China" different than a Mainland vs Taiwan difference.
When a person from Fujian, where most Taiwanese came from and where the Taiwanese language originated, speaks Mandarin, he will pronounce "sh", "zh", and "r" as more of a "s", "z", and "l" sound.

After I listened the dubbing of Protoss, I think the race comes from a kindom of poetry.
Something like: There is a most vast void between your ears. I could not help meself laughing.
|
I guess they did a good job of dubbing? The few times I heard Korean dubbing on units (not 'Not enough minerals', etc) it sounded very awkward.
|
Lol, the stalker... "I'm coming... now I'm going... WAIT!..... I'm over here now...."
Wow, I need this language pack. NOW.
|
did op upload these videos? well done nice find..very interesting...i think chinese version are much more superior than english dubbing...there are so many lines are involved with current chinese cultures..
|
China is already pretty much all Mandarin, I highly doubt they will do a Cantonese version, even though I would love it.
Aww man I just wish Cantonese was chosen or "modified" into the "standard" dialect. It really sucks having pressure to learn Cantonese and Mandarin due to ethnicity and Japanese/Korean for anime/games/eSports xD
