Other explanation is that KT got killed by Kespa assassins. Yeah they did the same thing when Intel sponsored the last/current GSL. It was up on their website, TL noticed it, then they took it down. I think because things can technically change from now till Monday they're being safe about it.

Why remove Shakuras?
Why add Typhon Peaks?
Why not add Shattered Temple?

Wow KT sponsoring GSTL, so big news...SC2 is getting bigger. Can't wait for GSTL as well, the last one was so epic..

KT sponsoring GS(T)L? i don't believe it

shakuras was boring and people only like it because for a while it was the only big map. Typhon peaks will be fun with all those attack paths i think it will produce great games and the other maps are awesome to as well :D

It is KT not KT Rolster we're talking about, that is Alleh KT a mobile phone operator, so it's a private company and they can sposor sc2 without any problem, Kespa can't do anything about it. So KT wants to advertise on both bw and sc2 scenes good for them, but sposoring a GSL isn't the same has sponsoring a team, since there is not risk involved in the former and it's limited in time. I think they're just testing the water, but considering how well KT Rolster goes, i don't think they will close it anytime soon.
Thank you sir, seems like everyone thinks KT is under Kespas control or some shit.

dual sites looks terrible T_T

Basically, it means they are playing both sides instead of picking one side and sticking with it.

Yes, but KT is a member of Kespa isn't it? Also like GTR said KT wasn't the first to try and got denied by Kespa. Could be wrong though. Still, a big korean company sponsoring SC2 is always nice ^^

Its not that, its that KeSPA is an organization of the companies that sponsor the BW pro teams, with KT being one of them. Until now none of the companies has broken from the party line, which makes this very significant.
Wasn't there a rumor that a KeSPA affiliated company was going to sponsor a previous GOM league but had to retract the sponsorship deal after being pressured? I recall reading about it but can't remember which company it was.

Shakuras was removed maybe because of FFE for protoss or 2 rax FE for Terran

I read some article and this was leaked last month. I just missed it for some reason. So I don't see the point now in GOMtv taking it down. Hope KT sells many iphone 4 at gsl events.

Just in case anyone cared. The English website for the league is up at http://www.gomtv.net/2011gstl2/. You're now able to purchase premium subscriptions there and it seems the $9.99 VOD without ad service is finally up. It might mean the $4.99 VOD service will actually be playing ads this season.

Doesn't CJ own Gretech anyway?

Maybe you mean sk1682 (subsidiary of sk telecom)?. GTR posted that yea. They got denied by kespa.

uhm, I did not expect KT to do something like this. Isn't this like sponsoring a competitor? I mean the players and fans must feel like this, even if the sponsors dont.

KT for real? very interesting. i don't think it means anything
