I don't know about you guys, but that's not the Starcraft I've learned to know and love. Whether it was questionable or not, it definitely worked out for the best.

What do you mean for the better? What's wrong with walking into a tournament with confidence, losing it and saying that your opponent played well and deserves it, and then saying you will remain dedicated (and actually follow through with it). I'm not sure what you found to be bad about his personality that became "better" since then... I actually respected him even more after seeing this video.

Without that tournament ending up what it was, most probably following things would still exist: - day9 daily - artosis would still be big figure and tasteless too - tasteless engaging to casting jobs by other ways than WCG 2005 (if he wanted to cast in WCG, that just prooves that he has personality of caster) That tournament really did not affect to outcome of starcraft-scene, maybe just skewed history a little bit.

He was 3-0d in the first Bo5, and won 3-2 in the second. So he actually won 3 out of 8 games. He only had to win one Bo5 since he was in the winners bracket, while NonY was from the losers bracket and had to win two. Thus Tasteless qualified and not NonY.
