He only had to win one Bo5 since he was in the winners bracket, while NonY was from the losers bracket and had to win two. Thus Tasteless qualified and not NonY. So what's questionable about that? Every1 gets a chance to lose in a double elim setup...

If you want to give the guy from the winners bracket an advantage you let him start the set with 1-0 or something like that. It's double elimination. Why should the winner of the winner's bracket be the only one that has to be eliminated once?

Why should the winner of the winner's bracket be the only one that has to be eliminated once? form my interpretation, the thing that is controversial is that tasteless won every one of his games on the same map. he had some kind of crazy strategy that only worked on this one island map, and since loser picks the map, the games looked something like this: first bo5: nony wins 3-0 first game, second bo5: tasteless picks his good map and wins second game: Nony wins third game: tasteless picks same map, same strategy, wins forth game: Nony wins fifth game: tasteless picks same map, same strategy, wins honestly, i can understand why nony is a little upset about the loss.

Giving the person in the winners' bracket a set up is standard protocol. Giving them a game doesn't make sense and is not standard. Okay, let's discuss new stuff!

You don't provide any defense of the format. You don't understand the connection to extended series. You contribute absolutely nothing. If you don't understand something, don't participate in a discussion about it.

So your comment was in the wrong topic. Nothing wrong with the double elim tournament system, infact any other way would make no sense.
