Nope. Tasteless beat NonY at the texas qualifiers that year. NonY has also used that series as justification for the extended series rule.

The full story is in Day[9] Daily 100. Basically, NonY got upset by some zerg, then made his way all the way up the losers bracket to face Tasteless in the finals. NonY had to win two Bo5s Tastless had to win one. First Bo5 was a complete beatdown by NonY 3-0 in under half an hour. Second Bo5, the format was loser picks next map, so Tasteless picked an island map called Estrella 3 times. He used some well-prepared strategies, and ended up qualifying over NonY even though it was pretty clear that NonY was the overall better player, and that Tasteless had just practiced the one map better | ||

I think his gomtv job takes too much time. It is just waste of talent to have people like Artosis and Tasteless in casting jobs, while they could be competing. GSL just wouldn't be the same without tastosis, and Day9 is doing some incredible things for the community. | ||

It takes an extreme amount of practice to play competitively and as gamers get older, they don't have the time to sit there 10+ hrs a day and game. | ||
