Then this tourney for me at least will be nothing but epic. But with no korean representation I (and I think I'm hardly alone on this one) will always wonder "hmm.. wonder how player X stand vs top koreans".

-We all love our gsl and our koreans, but what do we go ape shit over on this site?? The foreigners. The Gracken vs the Guerilla. Can Idra take it??? Can Jinro take it?? - If this NASL is true im sure most of us will still keep up to date with GSL, but now will just have another big tournament to see more SC2 action out of. - I think NASL can be extremely succesful when you look at all the potential "ins" it has. Look at the IEM and MLG these tournaments are really growing the E-sports acceptability here in NA. The problem this has for SC2 is that the IEM and MLG are not entirely SC2 tourneys(who gives a fuck about street fighter!) This is where the NASL will thrive because it will be pure SC2. Look at some more of the ins, -Blizz-Is stationed in cali and im sure will fully support any idea of a potential GSL in NA -G4 TV has already been streaming SC2 alot(Masters cup) Im sure this was an effort to see what intrest they could get for a possible TV production. Given that it was the EG's Master cup Id say that it would seem that this NASL idea may have been in fruition at this point in time So G4 and EG definately will probably be working closely together on this one. -There was a post somewhere about EG.Machine being in the office and the "studio" this shows that they are really going all out with a studio to live showcase the games Overall...... HUGE nerd boner for me. And to think that with the new maps producing Legendary games plus an NASL o god....

MLG already is the face of SC2 in NA. I don't really see NASL being big unless it really has huge backing from huge sponsors.

MLG is doing its part to promote SC2, however, its main focus is still not SC2. It makes its money off of Xbox games and FPS still. SC2 is not bread and butter. This new NASL could be the GSL of NA, allowing more team league play giving way to the teams that are more NA based. Such as root, EG etc. to show their skills.

I know this sounds dumb and it is "semantics" but I think it makes it sound lesser to be named for one contenent when for this to be a truely great league it will need at least European support(player wise). Geographically speaking, it'd be unreasonable to expect a high quantity of europeans playing consistently in this league (unless there's some online section), so the North America notation seems appropriate to me (and I'm very glad it's not called the USSL). Plus we can always hope to see a similar league pop up in Europe, which would just provide us with more amazing sc2 action! Now I just wonder about the details of the league... I really cant wait for the 21st!!! I'd be so trilled if they got a TV spot from G4, it'd be beyond awesome.

I was hoping for a e-sports bootcamp, so I could watch InControl train noobs and yelling at them in his controversial and offensive manner. xD "Well, Bob only ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and Jesuz 7pool. Since you're not Jesuz that leaves little room for you.. Now get back into the game and macro harder!" But I guess a big ass league with TV and everything is great too. Maybe one day GSL will be looked down onto, as the trainingsground for korean players and all the big names will head to NA, because that's where the big money&fame is. =)

I'm personally about 90% convinced that NASL is iNcontroL's big announcement. Seems like the people moving to California will be in charge. Still pumped for finding out TV broadcasting/who will be casting/prize pool!
