True enough, I'll admit I never thought about that.
In that case, quite an asshole-ish decision =(

Well so far it seems to be just for PTR. If we're just theorizing then 2 accounts would be awesome, but I doubt it will happen, but we can hope.

This is a bad idea tbh. They will drop sales down the toilet. Although frequent players will choose to have their own key, moderate players that dont go on all day will get away with paying $30 for sc2. This is assuming that only one key can be on bnet at a time.

Going to be awsome with an account to offrace on without getting completely stomped.
|
That would be awesome.
It would let ppl mess around a bit more (try new race for instance) without being forced to either sac their ladder rating or purchase an additional account for full price.

In that case, quite an asshole-ish decision =( They are a company, the reason all companies are fundamentally 'evil' is because companies that aren't evil are conquered by companies that are, survival of the fittest baby.
It's also why every species on the planet is basically a selfish bastard who cares only about its own survival. It gives you an edge when you compete for food or clients.
I mean, do you think lack of lan was a technical difficulty? Or a reason to shut down KeSPA tournaments fairly easily if they couldn't form an agreement, same with lack of cross-realm play.

If you can get 1% higher sales as a company you take it in this world really.
And I suspect it's a lot more than that.
Also, love has never pleased stock holders.

The SCII-1 and SCII-2 are exactly the same account for me, I just d/led the latest version of the PTR and I've now got it on my retail version of sc2 now. :/
It appears to do nothing but confuse the crap out of me

Thats interesting.
Wouldn't mind having a smurf

Perhaps they are just trying to test their upcoming expansion? Asin SCII-1 will be wings of liberty (current sc2) and SCII-2 will be heart of the swarm?
So that way a player can select what version of the game he/she wants to play (same as Diablo 2/LoD and SC/BW)

lol how? are u joking that makes no sense at all compared to previous blizz games...
anyways, I had noticed this too and didnt really, add it up but. the idea of having multiple accounts via this method seems entirely feasible and i can only hope we hear something from blizz about it
and to the people who claim "some people bought a second account", im sorry, thats just too bad. but we all knew when buying blizz's game that it DID NOT have all of its features ready, and that it would be years before they would be. this is 1 of those features.

have we had any blizzard talk about this yet? Any bluepost?

I just bought a second account so here's crossing fingers we won't be getting 2 accounts per key...
|
I think this is just what happens when you have multiple keys associated with a single BNET account. I know WoW is this way.
