i would love if thats true because that would mean i would be able to play when/if my brother buys the game, but with any basic knowledge of how acti-blizz runs their stuff now i think pretty much anyone can say that will not happen.

I'd like to have as many ladder accounts as I god damn want, but I really don't think even one extra will be added by blizzard. This is most likely just some ptr thing... I'm just guessing though - I don't know for sure.

Would be sooo awesome! I wouldn't need to buy another CDKey!
They are probably just testing 2 cdkeys on one account. As mentioned before in this thread u can only have 1 cdkey per region on a account. If anything it'll be a test run of something like wow where you could have 2 or 3 different copies of wow running under 1 battle.net account. They probably arent going to give you a free account for no reason. You'll probably have to buy another cdkey in order to use it
i dont need another account but it would be great if you could have different stats for different races also different leagues. e.g. 1v1 Zerg iam Masterleague , 1v1 protoss iam Diamond, maybe thats what they try to implement but with different accounts?
Multiple servers in one client perhaps? Now that would be a juicy feature.
I really like having only one account. I hated all the smurfing that went on in WC3 and SC. It's just annoying.
I would be really shocked if we were given a second account for free. I think it's far more likely this is just a UI change
ill love to have 2 realms per account!
There's no real difference from a sales perspective between two people sharing 1 account and 1 cd-key allowing two accounts so a player can have 2 ladder accounts, if the 2 accounts per 1 cd-key could not be logged on simultaneously. I imagine the base of players who want 2 accounts for laddering is much much bigger than the people who would actually buy 2 games for that purpose. That's probably a very small minority of people who have a measure of celebrity in the community.
thing is i don't really understand why they haven't done this in the first place in reality i think its a bit unfair they restrict players on ladder, when im pissed there is nothing more i'd like to do then go 4 gate a few games in a row instead of just stop playing and taking a break... And as a zerg player id rather not just throw away some points in master in rage on my main account.. playing protoss :D
It wouldn't surprise me if Blizzard sold access to a second account for a 'small' fee.
i would love to have a second account to ladder/practice on. but its not likely. if it comes tho, im going to be super happy!

That's what I think it is. I'd be down for it if it means I can practice protoss. I refuse to lose my zerg platinum rank, it took too damn long to get.

While this is definitely true, any sale is a sale, and there is no reason to really give this functionality since it will take time and hurt future sales.
The only reason for doing it would be to please your fan base and make them love you again like they used to... we can only dream for that day to come again...

dual spec is great : ) 1 serious account 1 account for fooling around, trying new strategies without losing precious ladder points what there not to love?
As everyone keeps saying, would be great to have another account to do whatever you like on. However it would mean an increase of people from Diamond + just smurfing in the the lower leagues. On the other hand it would be awesome to have a zerg account.

True, though it's an appealing marketing point too.
I do agree that the likeliest is to allow access to a 2nd account for $10 or something like that. A lot of people (myself included) would drop $10 for access to a 2nd ladder account, but there's no way I'd pay $60 for that.

I don't think so, I do that so i can select between my LA account and my NA account, you can have as many accounts as you want registered on you bnet account but you have to buy them
