![]() Anyone know why Artosis is a 'commentator' but Tasteless is a 'caster'? They used to have it with Tasteless' screen as the observer's screen but not anymore, so they're really performing the same job now.

What are some good hype-ish videos to show people that have a knowledge of RTS but not Starcraft and are interested in it?

How nervewracking is it to play in a tournament compared to ladder? I hear you miss basic things (getting supply blocked, not making probes) How many builds/strategies should you have in your arsenal? I've got standard builds but I want to play around with cheese because in tournaments (from what I hear and makes sense) you win at all costs, no matter what. You aren't there to necessarily improve but to WIN. Thanks in advance ![]()

This generally means it might be more so for your first few tourneys but as you learn to cope with it, it'll go better. It really is just a matter of thinking of it as 'another game' even though it might mean more than that. When it comes to builds, there's difference of opinions. I personally wouldn't put too much thought into it if you're a really new players, as long as you have atleast one per matchup that you're really comfortable with. However, as you kind of mentioned, it can be very beneficial to differentiate your play, especially if you get far enough to get into bo3's (or longer sets) since those open up the field for mindgames and doing the unexpected.

They used to have it with Tasteless' screen as the observer's screen but not anymore, so they're really performing the same job now. that's the way it's suppose to be. In professions sports commentating, you have one caster and one or two commentators. The caster is kind of the "host" of the group. They talk the most, guiding the viewer through what's happening both in the game and in-between games. They do most of the announcing in between matches, cite statistics, introduce players, etc etc. Often times they are much more knowledgeable than they let on to be. Commentators are like "special guests". They are the analysts whose main job is to give insight into the game. They compliment the caster's casting with their own professional or personal (and hopefully accurate) opinions. In a typically game, the caster will "cast" and explain what's going on, and the commentator will "comment" and give insight. A lot of the times the caster will ask a question to the commentator, mainly for the spectators and not for themselves. Most casters are far more knowledgeable than they led on to be. They ask questions even if they know the answer, because the viewer may not.

I'd love to see something as ridiculous as the manner pylon discovered and exploited in SC2. Fun times!
