There have been some threads about all ins, however, it seems in the community that there seems to be a broad range of what players deem an all in. The definition on Liquidpedia is: A type of attack where the player commits everything in an attack, thus forgoing any long-term strategy from that point. Thus I ask, is a 4 gate contain, while expanding considered an all in (PvP)? I would say no, as the strategy I use in the linked replay allows a fluid transition into either a robo, or stargate tech, along with the added benefit for a second base. I vaguely remember Tastosis saying that they will be casting the up/down matches but I'm not too sure... Additionally, isn't it necessary to somehow patch Protoss in a way that PvP stops being 4 gate only, as its a very very good choice vs Non-4gaters and the best choice to defend against 4gate is 4gate (oh my). | ||

In all seriousness, it is a little depressing seeing so many PvP's all boil down to stalkers micro'ing against eachother (not as fun as baneling v baneling micro) Anyone getting sick of all the TvTs in the top level of GSL. Feels like I been only watching one matchup for the past 3 game nights. I am indeed! But I guess its inevitable when they're so statistically overrepresented. I like (without justification) to qq as much as the next guy, but wow is are there a lot of terrans in high end SC2 play. | ||

Anyone getting sick of all the TvTs in the top level of GSL. Feels like I been only watching one matchup for the past 3 game nights. I don't mind, we haven't seen a Terran win the GLS yet, so it's kinda nice seeing high level Terran at it's finest. I don't play T but I still can't wait to see it! | ||

Zerg detection is much harder to come by than in Broodwar, Phoenix are better harassers than Corsairs ever were, and there are no Scourge to worry about. DTs are a bit harder to tech to than in BW, but that can't be the sole reason, right? | ||

We have seen some pretty amazing TvTs Jinro vs Ensnare Boxer vs Hyperdub Jinro vs MKP There were some pretty awesome games in there.. it is probably the best mirror match up; imagine watching a bunch of ZvZs or PvPs.. i'd die  | ||

Agree, I've lately been experimenting with a 4gate opening into expo in PvZ. What I do is that i probe up, and have 2 gas, and while slowly engaging him, and making him produce units i expo at around 50 food, and retreat. works good. | ||
