But in all fairness i lost a lot of respect for totalbiscuit after this incident because there is no real need to react in such a way. "opinions are like assholes.. everyone has one" that includes me, idra and you! so even this is a opinion.. i dont think there was a need to bash idra at all.. The way i see it total biscuit looks like he just flipped out on idra and then idra reacted as idra would... actually no he reacted as a lot of people who had been repeadtly disrespected and insulted for typing "hahahahahaha" I'm a hypocrite i over-react to things but this was quite excessive Glad they only got short bans tho they are both very important contributors to this community. <3 And for the record i think Grackmebabyonemoretime would appeal to the younger generation of females a bit more if he could get the britney voice going for him

Just because you become well-known in a community doesn't mean you have to ignore stupidity and become a model citizen / goodmanner robot. I'd be basically the same way in his position. Also.. Not really concerned about the respect of random people on the internet when it comes to defending a friend. You don't mock someone's genuine willingness to help the community and not expect some kind of backlash. Let's also be honest, the backlash from my end was mild at best. We know exactly what he meant when he laughed. I doubt most sane, rational people would be concerned with said respect either. That is after all, what friends are for. Ya don't abandon them or let someone slander their good name just because that person happens to be the Big Bad Wolf of SC2, huffing and puffing and trying to blow your supply depot home down ![]()

Some videos that he directly profits from? Not so much. Of course that is still much more than the vast majority of the "community" does for the game, not trying to downplay that, but it would be inane and naive to suggest his main motivation isn't to earn living.

If anyone else had replied like that im pretty sure 99% of the time you wouldn't have become a asshole instantly in the name of huskey.. you probly would have just shrugged it off , but its because a "named" brand typed two letters to you, you felt the need to go wage a jihad on TL >> Well not the same but you see how easy it is to take something so ridiculously little and blow it up like you did yesterday. I was just saying mabye you shouldn't have reacted like you did. "the backlash from my end was mild at best." The point is there really shouldn't be a backlash, and there wouldn't have been if it were not idra im fairly certain of that. And as far as i can tell friends are not for bashing community figures because they are able to voice there opinion that is often backed up with truth. The point is how much do you really know about everything that husky does / take in / make.. to be able to say that this is 100% for the community and that in the near future he doesn't have two big dollar signs in his eyes..I mean to me it always looked like another agenda was on the plan when they opend " the game station" and Said "go sub there too its going to be great but still come here too!!!! And for the record the community would defend and back husky up in a second if they felt he deserved it, i imagin most of the people on TL who play sc2 who care enough... know about there little beef and would have made there own mind up as to idra's motive. Anyway i enjoy your casting didn't really mean to pass judgement as who the fuck am i to pass judgement ![]() ![]() Actually the weird thing is most actual "community figures" should care about said respect on said internet thats your reputation on which you base your commentarys on, your not a pro gamer who can justify his opinion by earning said dollar for said e-sport. Your a sports commentator so if anything your reputation should damn matter to you. idra can be a dick all he wants, make everyone hate him , and yet those who still KNOW <-- respect his opinion becuase of said profession.

So stupid. Saying Husky has "no talent" but he's "Good at casting" is tad bit of an oxymoron, don't you think? Sure, maybe he isn't the most talented SC2 player professionally, but that's not what he's doing professionally. He casts games, and he is good at it. He's an entertainer. I would have to say that counts as a TALENT. These songs by him are also entertaining, I've loved them. And insane profits? I'm going to go out on a limb and say husky isn't exactly a high roller living in his small apartment. Sure, he makes a living doing something he loves, that's awesome, I don't see how that makes him greedy/untalented/completely unconcerned with the community or whatever. That's just a ridiculous accusation.

He complained when he lost to zenith, whitera and many others. Honestly, its his biggest flaw. Both in his character, and as a progamer. Idra is an amazing player. But honestly if he cant accept the fact that someone outmatched him in a game of starcraft when he loses. Hes going to have a real hard time learning from his mistakes in the long run. Idra thought zerg was broken when starcraft 2 was released. He thought it was simply impossible for any Zerg to win a high profile tournament like the GSL. However, the 1st two seasons were won by Zergs. Proving that Zerg was indeed powerful, and a capable contender. If i was a progamer, and i certainly am not. Even if I played a race that was blatantly underpowered, I still wouldnt try making a living with Idra's attitude. Attitudes alone in my opinion can make or break a player. Saying something is impossible to achieve, especially when your trying to achieve it, is a huge mental barrier. I believe it is when a true progamer looks beyond those mental barriers that they can achieve anything. Just look at fruit dealer, and nestea. Even through adversity. They still strived to be the best player's in the world and actually got it in the end. Even when everyone thought the odds were stacked against them. They still rose to the occasion and won it all. Sorry if this was extremely OT. But this was just my 2 cents.
