Eh, it's okay.

Banelings was much better.

Entertaining hundreds of thousands of SC2 fans. What do you do for the SC2 community? Troll real contributors with obnoxious comments?

This is actually a good sc2 related song, not just the banelings parody. I like it very much.

I don't really watch Husky because I go for the more technical commentaries but the guy seems pretty darn nice IMO so to trash him because he is popular is stupid. Honestly every time I hear the pro's trash him it's sad because if it's such a concern to them maybe they should go ahead and do some contributing?

I actually enjoyed reading the thread more than watching the actual video

The melody and the lyrics are ok,obviously Banelings was better but I still found it funny.(open-shirt guy FTW) I thought that Nerd Alert could find much more important terran units to praise than SCVs (Thors,Banshees,Ghosts etc,if we consider that Marines and Marauders were already given their dues in Banelings )

Someone clarify something for me:

Why does Husky get all the credit for these music videos when all he does is appear in them looking awkward and posting the vids on his channel? I mean people are lavishing praise on him and him alone while ignoring the actual people involved in the composing, direction, production and singing. It's fine that these guys are collaborating with him to make stuff but it's just odd that he gets sole credit for these things when in actual fact his involvement in the making of them is pretty minuscule.

I'm not saying Husky is stealing the show from these guys deliberately, the vid description proves he doesn't, but I mean come on; the thread title is 'Husky's SCV Love Song'. How is it his?

I am pretty sure the other guys in the video would not have made this video, let alone even know about SC2 if it wasnt for Husky. Husky made it happen. The other guys are great and they are credited (check the end credits) but if it was called Kurts SCV Love Song it wouldnt get as many initial views. Actually isnt it by Nerd Alert?

See this is the reason these arguments get started.... He's saying people should be praising the people making the song not Husky for promoting it. That would be like going to a Boxing match in the late 80s early 90s and being like "Don King is so amazing... Wow I mean look at how many people know about boxing because of him.. Oh Mike Tyson? Yea I guess.. But Don King"

i played BW but never well... i now play sc2 still not well... i began watching husky videos, which lead me to Team Liquid (he loves TL and promotes them often), which lead me to day 9, which lead me to SOTG, which lead me to GSL and EG masters cup etc etc.... so yes idra.... i am proof that husky helps further not only the sc2 community but the prize pools in Idra's tourneys... maybe he's been in korea a bit too long to realize the impact Husky, HD, and Day9 have had on the North American Starcraft community.... while husky may not make the viewer better he sure keeps them interested in the game... hes the chris berman of starcraft where day9 is like bobby knight... both incredible speakers and great at keeping the audiences attention while berman does it with style and knight does it with info

I like how the third guy at the end of the video kept walking off and coming back with different clothing on.

This was pretty darn hilarious. Nice work!!

Well i enjoyed the video, but i think that Husky is diverting too much from the actual SC2 scene and pretty much doing anything for fame, not for the love of the community.

Ya kidding? He does this because he loves the SC2 community. He could have spent the time and the budget just plowing out commentaries to pay the bills, not making charity songs.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

aaaaaaahahahahahahahahahaha

Oh do me a favour and lose the troll act, some of us have been doing it way longer than you and we're much better at it.

Do you know the guy? No. When was the last time you spoke to him? Are you employed by the same company? Are you aware of what he does on a daily basis? Do you know how much he earns? Do you know how much money he plows into making fun content for no personal gain?

None of the above, of course.

So sit the fuck down and stick to what you're good at.

Yeah, so I'm defending my friend. Deal with it.. I won't have you slandering his good name in public without recourse.

edit : Noted, removed.

That's retarded. If Husky doesn't want any personal gain why does he ask for more subscribers in every video he makes, including the *charity* ones? I think it's hilarious how you make Husky out to look like some kind of Saint. This is his job, he's not a charity worker. If Husky is really how you say he is then I expect him to go join the Peace Corps after he's done with sc2.

Its not the pros that are trashing Husky, I think. It's the losers who want to be popular but can't and resort to saying that they hate Husky everywhere they can on public forums.

I watch Husky's videos because I find him hilarious. He is certainly far from being the best analyst of the game, but I will continue subscribing to his channel as long as he provides high level games in high res with commentaries that are funny to me at least.

Didn't like this song at all though. Listened to it a couple of times and I can't remember any part of the song itself. That Kurt guy also needs to let Husky sing more rather than having him as a background prop no matter how bad Husky is at singing.

Day[9] got me into diamond, but Husky actually got me to buy SC2 in the first place... so go Husky!

For the record, I thought the video was a pretty good parody of the old boy band videos, but no doubt the BEST part of it was how it trolled all the kids from Camp Homophobie with their concerns like "oh no what if someone catches me watching this!?", that's comedy gold right there.

Oh and to the guy who screenshotted his most recent videos noting the lack of commentary: you realise it's the holidays right? No one is (or expected to be) working full time on their business as usual stuff right now. There aren't any new dailies on Day[9]'s channel either, but he gave us a holiday special ("oh Dayvie, Dayvie, DAYVIE! Noooo, DAYVIE!!") that was awesome anyway.

And sure everyone's entitled to their opinions and you don't have to like it and you don't have to shut up if you don't like it but if your entire post is just "well that is bad" then you're not even adding anything to the discussion, which defeats the purpose of forums in the first place. Youtube has like and dislike buttons for precisely that reason. Use them.
