i think most of us can agree this is one of the most memorable games this year.
'THE DRONE...BECOMES...AN EXTRACTOR!!' nothing i have seen thus far in any GSL will overcome the first time i saw the ending of TT1 v MasterAsia. i wouldve never thought a game could be so back and forth when for the second half it just involved a drone, a zergling, a zealot and a corruptor.
Most of my ideas are already in there - Great Wall of HongUn blew my mind, and Tester's 1-gate vs. 2-gate cheese defense was also mindblowing.
Maybe some of FruitDealer's baneling drop play from GSL1 and also FruitDealer's proxy hatch against an oGs Terran (StC maybe?) to counter proxy reaper play (this is on YouTube but after a quick search I couldn't seem to find it - maybe other TL members know).
I think we are looking for a game changing really small play, and i believe nobody as mentioned yet one of the most amazing plays of the first GSL:
FruitDealer vs HopeTorture - GSL1 Finals - Set 5 - Scrap Station
FruitDealer fast expands and HopeTorture uses a Proxy barrack with a fast reaper (pre-patch). We all thought that FD was dead but he defended it by moving in and out the smoke screen. It was awesome.
i think most of us can agree this is one of the most memorable games this year.

That was incredibly fun to watch (the extractor trick), but the rest of the game wasn't very good.

haha that has my vote too it was EPIC.
Also Fruitdealers game vs Hopetorture? (i think it was him)
Kulas Ravine, he expanded to gold, and the terran dropped a tank on the ledge but he had a OL and a few roaches waiting... then he nydused his base gg.

Morrow builds drones and does the extractor trick to get 12/10 drones and attacks, and takes the game. Strelok "lol"s and types out.
That's one of Cellawerra's rushes so if anything, you should use Cellawerra vs AhBoxer or something even if it is just a ladder game. Not really fair otherwise.
Skip to 18:15. At this moment, the Korean commentators realize the shenannigans Fruit is up to and start flipping. At this point in the games life, everyone is claiming that nydus is just not viable for attacking your opponents base. Fruit proves the critics wrong (again) by doing it on the biggest stage by keeping his opponent's attention in one place, while he delivers a critical blow in another. Perfect anticipation of his opponents response to his opening, leading to a perfect defense of his opponent's actions and a perfectly prepared counter blow struck at the precise moment of vulnerability. This is the very definition of strategy. No gimmicks, just sheer brilliance.
PS: If you have a GomTV season 1 pass, watch it there. Though the Korean commentators excitement is infectious, Tasteless and Artosis are actually a bit more entertaining in this case because they are just as fooled as HopeTorture was, both yelling "NYDUS!!!" simultaneously and out of nowhere. Exciting stuff. I stood up off my couch when I saw it for the first time.
EDIT: Wow, Jaeng, we are psychic friends, you posted that while I was typing my post lol.

I was looking for this one as well. This was the greatest game of the year for me. I was just in awe when he came crushing in with those ultras after being behind!
Some people have been talking about Tester's epic defense vs the scv/bunker/marine rush but noone has named the game details yet so I do it Tester vs Hyperdub GSL1 Ro16 Map 1 Delta Quadrant, was quite an epic defense
Also, I remember one of the Loner vs Genius games from blizzcon where Genius picked up a mule with a phoenix and Loner's scvs instantly came and repaired it. I don't know which game it was though, maybe anyone else remembers?

I personally do not have the time, if you or anyone interested would like to look up that information, even for just a couple, i would be extremely grateful and would of course add it to the contest info.
Also, I have added some new games from the comments between this and my last post - thanks to those who suggested them! With GSL3 over, and the finals... being... well lets be honest, a stomping - there really weren't any pimp plays that stand out A LOT. I'm not sure if that is the last tournament of the year, if it is, then we can proceed quicker with the final votes, if not please let me know down below!

The two engage at Inca's expansion, both trying to hold their charge on their voidrays. San breaks into Inca's main and keeps up pressure as inca desperately tries to hold on vs constantly warping units and rallied voidrays. Despite losing probes and not mining from his expo, Inca micros from behind to hold on, surviving against the waves of units battering his front."
The game titled "bitch please" is stupid and should be changed to "a perfect storm of circumstances" which is how it was described at the time in the TL recap.
