then (bronze). i kind of agree with a few of the others.. This comes across as one of those "be super nice because somebody with a less than able body is doing something normal" situations. It's fairly cool, but.. inspirational? i dunno seems to be setting the bar pretty low on what inspires you. Still, congrats on the wins well deserved, and grats to the people who find this life changing and inspirational. At the very least its nice to see someone having a positive impact on other people, so for that mad props and love :3

It's fairly cool, but.. inspirational? i dunno seems to be setting the bar pretty low on what inspires you. Why? No seriously, I'm curious why you'd say that. What would be an appropriate place for the bar? I see it as a person who has a severe handicap that would normally render someone completely unable to play such a dextrously demanding game, instead playing at a competent level and achieving a decent record many people without such a handicap don't have. Overcoming immense challenge can be inspiring in itself. Just because he's bronze league doesn't make it any less of an accomplishment. The fact is he's likely playing people who operate without such limitations and beating them. That sets the bar fairly high in my book.

That being said, I am guessing the reason why he is in bronze is because when he first started, he lost alot. Now, with improvement, he is starting to win a good amount of games. Since the system started with him losing alot, it will take alot more wins and effort to get out of bronze.

I am paralysed from the neck down and can only move my head normally. I was injured when I was 15 and naturally, I was playing games at that age and my accident stopped me from doing many things. I spent a year in hospital and discovered in that time I could use a computer using nothing but a head tracker mouse and a suck and blow switch, it just reminded me of when I had full movement in my limbs, playing games with my mates. I am 20 now so I have been playing games using this method of only pure mouse movement for 4 years and I have played many strategy games in that time, even some MMO's that can be played using only mouse movement. Now on to SC2 and loving every second of this game. Of course, I cant spam hotkeys or work up 400 APM in seconds, but I manage :D. I only posted this to this thread as it has inspired me to tell my story, thank you iNcoGNiTO for posting this up. I just wish I had the US version so I can add you Spectral, we could of had a few games Here is a link to what I use to play SC2, thought you would be interested! http://www.naturalpoint.com/smartnav/products/4-at/ http://orin.com/access/sip_puff/index.htm

Great videos, thanks for sharing btw, you guys really made my day, you are the little faith i have in humanity. People who achieve great things and overcome such adversity while an average person frets about trivial things. I love you!

A few questions: Does your paralysis affect how you use hotkeys or control groups. Does it affect your ability to precisely strike the correct keys on the keyboard, IE are you more prone to misclicking than your average person? What's your apm?

Are we trying to one up each other here in who has more experience with disability or something? Your like talking about this guys accomplishment and going "That's nothing, look at this..." I have an autistic sister and I don't find this belittling at all. Your essentially saying he shouldn't be allowed to play sc2 because it belittles handicapped people. That's kinda sick ....

More seriously, I really like what he is doing...He has a huge handicap but he still tries really hard...he's clearly not a pussy quitting cause it's hard...If other players were approaching difficulties the same way he is, we would have had better esport games in europe...

1. He is not dead. 2. He can use control groups, 1-4 only. 3. He is paralyzed from the neck down, except for his fingers. 4. He has won professional tournaments before, the biggest being the KOTH Afreeca league. 5. He is a highly respected professional gamer, and one of the greatest Undead players of all time. 6. He was playing Starcraft 2 towards the beginning of the Beta, but was not doing well. Here is an interview I did with him (last interview to go out from him): mojawi.Space - January, 2010

My girlfriend has a seeing-handicap (I'm not sure how to word this, but hopefully you get what I'm trying to say) : her left eye is blind, and her right eye is very bad too. I love her of course and being the nerd that I am, I introduced her to the games I like (mainly, WoW, Diablo2 and Sc2) and she really took a liking to videogames, even though her handicap means she will have a hard time with many, many aspects of those games. I didn't find this video belittling in the slightest. It's great that people such as SpectralX are able to play the games they love, or in general, enjoy the things they enjoy despite their handicap. Also, these kind of videos do an excellent job of showing how with a clever setup, you can overcome some of the obstacles a handicap will throw at you while trying to do the things you love. And thank you whoever posted this for making me find out about Ablegamers, great site and great initiative right there. SPECTRALX FIGHTING!
