It seems there's a bug for the planetary fortress. When entering in Planetary Fortress: 1, leaving everything else at zero and the target time at default for the target destination (Waypoints not modified) on 7.2 it continually expands the build order, unable to solve.

I also tried entering in multiple CC's as well as an engineering bay to guide it along, but it seems to really, really dislike being forced to calculate cheesy PF rushes. Maybe it's for the best. Otherwise the Terran BO's seems really solid.

Terran players rejoice!

Ok, I love how I can open up multiple tabs and compare different build orders. I opened up three tabs, a Terran, Zerg and Protoss to see what race can get to 50 workers first. Protoss wins (EDIT: actually Zerg won with enough time) BTW. I also like how the completion likelihood box changes color as it get closer to 100%, that's a nice touch.

Things I noticed:

It seems Terran does not know how to use mules? Mules could make a huge difference in finding new build orders. Maybe you could add a box called "scans available". Then people could enter say "2" and any energy above two scans that will automatically be used for mules. Enter 0 and ALL extra energy will be used on mules.

Another thing I would love to see would be a box where I can specify how many bases I can take. For example some maps it's not possible to take a 3rd base or maybe you want to try to focus on what can be done on only one or two bases. It get more complicated with Zerg because sometimes it's beneficial for Zerg to make a 3rd hatch even thou they only have 2 bases (two mineral patches)... Maybe the box should specify how many mineral patches instead of bases you can take. Usually it would be set at 2 (main and natural expansion) but it would also be interesting if you could specify one normal mineral patch and one gold mineral patch. Yea there is not a lot of maps you can do that on but there may be in the future, and it would be interesting to see exactly how much better the gold expansions are.


That's all I noticed so far Thanks for all your awesome work, your contribution to Starcraft 2 is immense. Once the expansions are out and the game is even more complicated this program will become even more invaluable.

Awesome, finally the Terran module, much appreciated. It's already pulling off builds much faster than I though would be possible.

Couple things I noticed:
  • "Constant SCVs" does not seem to have any effect, atm workers will get cut nonetheless.
  • The program does not seem to be too fond of building orbitals, however will usually find a faster BO than before if you set a waypoint that includes an orbital to force it to build one.
  • The Battlecruiser/Fusion Core dependency does not seem to be correct, it will build a BC before FC

I'd say the main reason for the difference is that my app tries to account for what's humanly possible (you'll notice that my app has a starting delay of 2s included), as well as including travel times (I assume it takes 5s to travel from mining to where you're building the building, and then 5s to travel back to mining).

I'm still noticing a small difference in real-game timings from whats listed... It isn't off by much, I usually just add 5 seconds to whatever the end-result is and that gets me pretty much dead-on. I'm not really sure where those 5 seconds are coming from. My initial supply depot for example is laid down pretty much dead-on time, but things start to slow down a bit as I move into barracks etc and it adds up a bit. Perhaps it's due to quirky worker mechanics once a mineral field is fully in-use (occasionally running around instead of mining), I'm not certain.

You can just specify 2 command centers and it will assume one of them is at an expansion.

Yeah, I find the same, and I suspect that you're right - it's probably from the workers moving around too much. Once again, something I need to do some extensive testing of to get accurate income rates.

I am very excited to see this done for my primary race. If it hasn't already been brought to your attention, I wanted to ask if you could take a look at the reactors to see if they are being built properly. I had a very large marine (70) with medivacs. {I know its rather silly}. But I noticed that none were used and I really thought that it would shorten the time if they were. If you have a chance to look at that, perhaps something could be improved.

Yeah, I know the reactor stuff isn't very good atm, I'll have to play with the values so that it tries out reactors and things like orbital commands more often.

I set mine to do 70 marines and 8 medivacs and it built one reactor on a barracks and one on the starport (on a build it had only run for 20 seconds or so), so it seems to know how to use them, I'd guess it's more a cost issue than anything else (they do effectively shut down a barracks for 50 seconds and effectively cost almost as much as another barracks)

They're a lot more efficient for factories, if you put in 20 hellions, it will put out a build using reactors on all the factories within seconds, so I'd say it's more likely to do with their value on barracks than anything else.

You can always try forcing it to build 1 or 2 reactors and see if that lowers the time at all.

I find (mainly for Toss haven't tried a Terran build in anger yet) that I can easily be 30seconds out by around the 7 minute mark, partly because I am not Uber with my micro (first probe quite typically gets built at 4seconds unless I am seriously trying hard and then it'll hit at 2) and a few seconds of slippage in timing cascades as well down the track (usually not resources, mainly production availability to get the units out).
