The answer would seem to be pretty damn fast, but the zerg module still isn't 100% (haven't checked out v6.1 yet). It seems to find the most optimal build in moments rather than minutes.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but is there ANY way to condition the builds, like "don't build assimilator before gateway" - without using waypoints? Because even with waypoints I sometimes feel I have to basicly calculate the exact timings by hand, otherwise the waypoint will fail.

What I'm trying to do is a 3 gate DT build that gets 3 DTs and a Nexus basicly at the same time (last waypoint) - while also having some core-units, like 1 sentry and a couple of zealots/stalkers.
Now the program always goes for an 11 assimilator 14 gate, which is obviously the fastest way, nevertheless makes this build ridiculously vulnerable against any early aggression. Also the twilight council will get scouted.
Right now I can only circumvent this if I put waypoint 1 with 1 gate with the exact timing of a 12 gate, so the program can't "squeeze in" an assimilator before that.

The problem is that such a build has approximately 0 value in a real game environment. Up until 30 supply it might be relevant but after that, any good player will tell you that you can forget about BOs, especially as Zerg. You will HAVE to adjust your BO depending on what you scout and then you might as well throw all these optimized timings out of the window and just remember a few pointers (f.e. add gas after lair is done).


It doesn't seem to respect my waypoints. I tell it to get 25 drones and 4 speedlings by 600 and it just pushes them all the way to the bottom of the BO

That's because 600 seconds = 10 minutes, so it still satisfies your first waypoint, and probably figures out that it reaches your second waypoint faster by finishing them both at the same time. Try changing the first waypoint to something like 300 (5 minutes) if you want your speedlings out at that time.

Remember that it'll probably produce them as late as possible, because it tries to have the maximum economic advantage to finish the second waypoint as fast as possible, which means producing the lings as late as possible.

I did never say something like that.
That is just a build to test these programs.
You can have a look at that BO and take what you like or avoid what you don`t

- Is it possible to integrate a field where you can enter the income you want at each waypoint/end target? It would probably help to optimize the probe production.

- I'd like to run the program in the background, but right now, it makes use of all of my quad cores at 100%. Could you add an option to limit the CPU usage?

Again, I can't say it enough to you and Lomar, thank you for making such an awesome program!

Seems to be working pretty good, haven't found any bugs so far. But I did have a suggestion to make the output a easier to read. Should probably finish Terran before thinking about my suggestion (poor Terrans have waited long enough thou I'm honestly worried what super timing pushes will be found).

I think the output should be color coded to make it easier to read. I played around with some different colors and came up with this: red for fighting units, dark red for static defense, green for supply (OL, supply pylons ETC) yellow for buildings and magenta for upgrades.

I call this by Zerg doom drop. At 7:01 you are dropping 8 banelings onto his mineral line. Just got to hope your 4 spine crawlers can hold lol.

Is there any way to force it to build off one base only? (i.e. I do not want it to build a second Nexus) for a particular build. Setting (leaving) a stat (like # of Nexus) to zero does not force this.

(And megathanks for building this!).

You shouldn't even need to do that. The threads it spawns already run as 'Below Normal' priority. I've actually played SC2 while the app was running without any problems (completely forgot that I had it running ).

So it just trolled me when after 2 million games it flashed a "Waypoint 1 satisfied at 6:02" at me to make me believe it was indeed in the minute format...

After 2 mil K games it did not progress at all.
I think fitness or push/pull drones on gas is the problem.
It would be nice if you could find the fitness score for a build you input.

I'm fairly certain it's both an issue with push/pulling drones (in current release it requires a hatchery, rather than any sort of base), and also (primarily) because the larvae spawning still isn't split per base and I don't think it even handles multiple bases naturally spawning larvae.

Yes, there are plans to convert the GUI to cross platform, although I'm not sure what will be required to make the core algorithm cross platform... At the very least there's plans to investigate this, but it'll probably happen after the Terran module is done.

Haploid gets a time of 4:35, which is actually 1s longer due to the 2s delay mine starts with, but I think this is just due to the different rates we calculate for gas (mine uses an assumption of 1 close geyser and 1 far, but his uses 2 average distance, which I might switch my code to soon).

Lol, yeah, SCBuildOrder is pretty lame. I'm actually pretty hopeless on the creative side of things (especially when it comes to art - don't even think about asking me to design an icon or anything). EvolutionChamber is a cool name, but I'd rather not copy/ripoff what Lomilar came up with, so if it is getting a name change it'll need to be something different

Edit: Incidentally, I got it to give an even simpler 7RR without all the pushing/pulling of workers, and with using the standard approach for gas income, rather than assuming there's a close geyser:
