The first topic got closed because people copypasted in "the fan- girl" and acted like they never had seen a girl before. Therefore I say please, do not repost the picture of the fan-girl or go to much offtopic about that picture.
I had the pleasure to interview TLO about his switch to zerg, thoughts on the new patch and about his life in South Korea.
Here are the first three questions of the interview:
Question: Hello, how are you Dario? Dario: Hello Ludvig, I'm doing great thanks for asking. I Just finished my daily in-house ranking games and it went great.
Could you tell us a little bit more about your day? How much do you play, who do you play with and what do you do on your free time? I try to get up around 7 to 9 am. Unlike most people in the house who get up at 11:30 and stay up really late, I wake up early so that I can have some more time for myself and do some sports. I play like 4-8 hours a day depending on what is going on event wise at the moment and my mood.
I mostly practice with everybody in oGs - the korean team I live with and my Teamliquid teammates. Right now there are only two besides me but we are getting two more people in here in about a week, Huk and Ret.
In my free time, I spend a lot of time talking to my friends at home, reading and mostly relaxing and getting off the whole gaming. Sometimes you just need to get away from the PC.
That sounds great, though I am curious if you play much with "The genius Terran" Nada who is on the oGs team? I definitely play him on a regular basis, but he is not living with us in the same house. I am not really allowed to release any practise games, as obviously nobody wants to reveal strategies.

I made the interview in both swedish and english language. To read the swedish translated interview you need to scroll down.
Me and my friend Eric have started a new gaming blog for my local newspaper. In the blog we review games, covering events (for example Dreamhack) and interview professional gamers. This interview is our first content and i can promise that more interviews with professional Starcraft 2 players will come.

once TLO practices with Huk, TLO will dominate all of sc2 except Huk =D HUK FIGHTING

I've seen lots of girls but not all of them were like that! Thanks for the interview man

Wha? I knew with getting knocked out Idra was gonna be at Dallas but TLO too. Damn I hope I'm not playing any games when they play, I don't wanna miss those games
|
Awesome interview, really solid questions and I learned a few things! Tyvm
|
Great interview. Thanks for sharing.
|
you take a group of guys in any setting, nerds, jocks, whoever, they are going to talk about a chick with nice cans thats pretty conspicuous, dont see the need for closing the previous thread because its "creepy", she looks like one of those booth/IEM girls, its her job to attract attention
|
good read.. nice to know that TLO will be attending at Dallas..btw + Show Spoiler +Mechanics = How you use the keyboard and mouse, hotkey units and how many actions per minute you have. For example selecting a unit is one action, telling it to attack something is another action. The best players often have about 200-300 actions per minuteLOL?.

great Interview finally with TL in korea we got more insight in pro teams life :o.
+ Show Spoiler +must not post. ... must not post ... have to resist waaaaah

I'm really pleased that Jinro is on the A-Team, it's great to see him doing well despite not qualifying for any of the GSL tournaments.
|
TLO for the swarm!
I think its great he is able to practice and play with great partners such as NaDa and HuK, just by imagining training sessions between the 3 of them i am drooling for the replay pack! Its totally undestandable tho that no one of the pros wants to show his strat, they have to make a living out of it.
Best of luck over there, TLO!

Really nice interview and really cool to have a swedish version
|
Hard to root for the man after the switch Still he's as awesome as ever
|
|
For the swarm :D Long and solid interview, thanks..

You know we're more like rockstars than nerdy gamers! I lol'd hard :D

Men, ive never been a fan of a progamer, but this guy just rocks. I hope everything goes fine to him.

I loved this bit:
Dario thank you very much for the interview, any last shout-outs to your fans? Please go batshit crazy at every event you attend to. We need Korean crowd standards in Europe!
Not just 'please be really vocal' or 'please be enthusiastic' but 'please go batshit crazy'
I love TLO!
|
lol great interview yooo~
Dario <3
|
Jinro being in the A-team sounds promising, GSL3 should be interesting if TLO gets to qualify as Zerg.
|
Nice interview good work!
|
Thanks for the interview. Hope to see him get farther in GSL 3!
Ty.

This doesn't have much to do with the interview, but last night I played a 3v3 against a team consisting of liquidTLO, Heosat, and some other (unknown?) dude. This was on the US servers, and the guy claimed to be the real TLO. Heosat had that character picture people got from blizzcon. I'm thinking they are fakes, but they talked like they were the real deal and I can't tell from TLO's play style if that was him or not. This may be a longshot, but can anyone confidently tell me that I did or did not play the real TLO??
|
TLO played 5 3v3 games yesterday with Heosat and BHM. They went 4-1. =P
|
Great interview, thanks.
I loved that Day9 is now part of the SC2 dictionary. "Remember kids, the 3 most important things for becoming a good player: Micro, Macro and always take your Dailies!"

I usually never get signatures, but this almost made me laugh (an almost impossible feat) so i had to take it as signature.
Looks like TLO not only inspires people to play creative but indirectly inspires them to be creative off-game, too.

Heostat is Team Liquid's sponsor, seeing as they have the Blizzcon stuff, chances are it was the real thing :D.

def real cause bhm is heosats brother
|
Well TLO has ample time to practice with the Zerg race to fit into the A-team, big gratz to Jinro for making the cut (what about Haypro?)
Do the breast job that you can do TLO, I will be cheering for you!

argh the octopus answer

Here is the replay. http://www.mediafire.com/?tmpkybef80b82yk
Please ignore my comments (Fatman). I was excited/shocked to be playing against TLO. I still have some doubts it was really them, but who knows. Maybe you guys can have a look at his play style and see if it matches the real TLO. And unfortunately, I chose random this game (usually play Protoss) and got chosen as Zerg, my worst race. I played pretty horribly, again because I was shocked. Hope you can enjoy the game still.
Also, I checked their games/ranks but cant really tell much from it. TLO has very few games played, but he did win all 17 of his 1v1s. He doesn't use his account much, but has had it for more than 5 weeks.

Very nice interview, thanks for the post.

Well, it isn't the US account TLO used at BlizzCon, but he probably has 2 US accounts then. http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/1072602/1/LiquidTLO/ is the account from the replay, and considering the race choice and obnoxious win record, that's probably him.
Edit: Other profiles used: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/531918/1/Heosat/ http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/2131942/1/BHM/ Replay analysis: http://www.sc2replayed.com/replays/98984-3v3-terran-protoss-zerg-colony-426
On topic: I loved the interview. Too bad the old thread had to be locked, but it was probably for the best.
|
it's hard for him to have zvz especially with korea, but it's fun
|
nice interview, happy guy tlo is.
but he disappoints with his results lately, very.
|
|
Awesome, I always thought TLO's strongest random race was zerg. He's really creative with them!
|
Im looking forward to see more of his zerg play; it was so much more different and interesting from the others back in beta.
though - 4-8hours? thats quite little for a fulltime progamer, no?
|
Bookmarked. Something decent to read instead of that IGN marketing bullshit they feed us. Keep up with the good work.

Unfortunate necro-bumpage to confirm it was us. BHM is my brother.

Cant wait to see TLO's mutation! go go TL

I'd say that's really low, might explain the lack of improvement in Korea and his rapid exit?

cant wait for HuK to get to the house, good interview, thnx

Short but good intro. Thanks.
