Seriously learn your place in MLG and don't complain. I know its hard concept to get ahold of but starcraft is not a big game AT ALL compared to console gaming. Once you can get 1024 people signing up for a live tournament event and a following of a million console gamers you can start complaining, but for now stop being arrogant pricks~ lol some console scrub is butthurt. You clearly didn't pop your collar high enough this morning. Seriously? MLG has done the SC community and TL a justice in their ability to connect with our members and allow for us to ask them open questions HERE ON TEAMLIQUID and you're going to give them this much shit about a show that they do for free as a service? Then you're going to call people who have some semblance of maturity a butthurt console scrub? These guys are giving out 7000+ a tournament for SC2, thats the biggest prize pool outside of IEM and GSL, and now you guys are going to talk like this to them? Heads up, give constructive feedback at the very least, I'm amazed that you guys can run around here on TL talking to these employees and executives of MLG, who are targetting THEIR audience which is the MLG community. They put Day[9] on the show to give us a share, especially since Day[9] has appeal to everyone, maybe even expanding some of their MLG community into the starcraft 2 community moreso. But are you guys SERIOUSLY going to give them shit like this post above for a service that MLG does for everyone? Edit: Although to be fair, that RoyR guy is even worse, when he doesn't know a thing about Starcraft and talks like that. I love MLG because of their support for SC2, but that doesn't mean I have to love the hosts for their show. My constructive feedback is that if they do a Starcraft segment, keep those guys away from it. I don't think their personalities and demeanor fit well with the Starcraft community. They were very off-putting and remind me of the sort of people I purposely avoid IRL.
In short, thanks MLG for your tournament, but I hated the hosts for this show. Just not appealing to a guy like me.

to be fair the #s don't tell the story.... Seoul allowed as many people as could sign up, to show up as far as I know. Also there were a lot of no shows and byes.
MLG restricts the # of people to how many can get tickets.. teams don't go cause they can't get a ticket(not saying these are good teams, just average joes)
But in the open ques in Seoul there were a LOT of bad players, ask those that attended, some of the brackets were EXTREMELY easy, some were difficult.
Starcraft still has a much much much much much larger following and larger player base as far as I'm concerned though, also overall a better game(coming from someone who has never played a sc2 or bw event, but have entered and competed in lots of local halo events, as well as 6 MLG events)

So to put it in more delicate way: dear MLG, if you market SC2 like that, you will badly fail. TLers and such don't care about your brah commentators. RoyR and xboxlive "people" won't dig nerd in his room with croked glasses. Please reconsider for your own good.

I'm quite sure most of the posters understand that. I do. But speaking strictly by numbers, the SC2 portion was well over 1/3rd of your total viewership for that episode, and therefore their opinions should merit your interest.
Obviously appealing to the basement dwelling nerds and 30+ year audience of Starcraft is different compared to the actual Jocky and outgoing console gamers who are much more into culture and alot more outgoing.
Hey brah, I hear that the average SC player is still in high school. did you know that dude?
Seriously learn your place in MLG and don't complain.
Maybe you should (as a PR guy) not alienate the community of a game which you're looking to pick up in a serious way for your tournaments.
As it stands, SC:BW as an esport overshadows MLG. you should learn your place.
I know its hard concept to get ahold of but starcraft is not a big game AT ALL compared to console gaming.
Hey brah, maybe you didn't know, but the world doesen't end at the east coast.

Look up some numbers on the GSL, broshamus.

Kid, stop. I played Counter-Strike for 10 years alongside 4 other teammates, it didn't make me any more OR less popular. Many pro scbw and sc2 teams live together and practice together, it doesn't make them any more or less popular. What xbox live does, however, is churn out ignorant douchebags like yourself.

As a feedback I could suggest more SC2 stuff ^^ I kinda hoped there would be more tonight :o That's like saying Soccer, Baseball, Hockey, running, swimming, rowing, etc. are all sports. Sure they're sports but that doesn't mean you'll see a Football fan happy when a sports show talks about Badminton or Table Tennis.
Some people want all esports to grow (like djwheat) but most people only care about a few games that they find entertaining to watch.
I don't care about the viewers plummeting but there's no way I would watch OSR again even if it was purely SC2 because those hosts are TERRIBLE. If I wanted that kind of commentary I would bring a keg to a frat house and chillax with some brahs. Get people who actually know what they're talking about and who CARE about it if you want an audience. Hiring a pretty face for the camera is not what gamers want to watch unless maybe it has tits too and is only serving a supporting role.

wait wait, I get it, If were gonna communicate with them, we need to speak their language so here goes:
Yo my Brahs at MLG, Whats Cracking Mofos???? I'm tryin ta holler about this video y'all told us stupid starcraft computer newbs to watch. Man, Dat Shit was so Whack, They don't even talk about starcraft long. Dat shit was likez, aww man, a 20 minute Gamestop Magazine advertisment. Y'all only talked about each game for like 1 minute, didnt talk about any of da spec-if-iiikz brah. Y'all need to get REAL DEEP into it Ya'kno? We want to hear about new shit, that we dont alrdy know. If I'm gonna spend time On da Interwebz Watching videos about games, I'm prob a pretty big nerd, who already knows the basikzz. So Give me da info dat I REALLY WANT, insider shiz, ya dig? 3 minutes about who is gonna show up too MLG........U DIDNT EVEN TELL US ANYTHING ABOUT THE GAME, You guys claim to be a competitive gaming web-site, yet half of your content was about Wii Games and rock band..

Honestly the way MLG covers the tournaments sometimes disappoints me, but it's overall not bad at all and I'd tune in everytime. But this show was just something I'd avoid instantly, it was something as people said above to show gamers as "cool guys" and the lack of knowledge about the stars would certainly upset the fans.
Calling IdrA Korean is probably as horrible as a sports news reporter referring to Lionel Messi as a football player from Brazil.
Edit: Woah, Mods will have fun with this thread.

TL is full of fans that have been following this game for up to 12 years now, this community isn't going to change so rather than TL being happy that MLG is throwing us a bone, MLG is going to have to realize they have a ton of people watching their shit but they are getting a community that doesn't give a damn and will say so.
