[center]Child's Play is pretty much THE Gamer charity providing gifts including games books and other toys for children who are stuck in the hospital over the holidays so that they may still play games and generally enjoy the Holidays while stuck in a Hospital environment.
We will be posting a chipin link that goes directly to Child's Play during this entire event and every single cent that is put towards the total will go directly to Child's Play. Any and all viewer donations are asked to go towards the Charity during this event as we have made it a point to not take money from our viewers in the past.
If you donate at least $20 USD you can provide a comment on the chipin page and receive a shoutout on the stream. Shoutouts must be appropriate and in order to receive said shoutout you must donate through the chipin widget as I cannot track any donations going straight to Child's Play. Remember the chipin is set to go directly to Child's Play anyway but this is just so we can track numbers.
We reserve the right to withhold any shoutouts that we deem to be inappropriate to be said on air so please keep them within a reasonable level of common sense.
Once you set your donation amount you'll see the confirm transaction screen.
You will now see a button to return to the Chipin for a receipt or to leave a comment click this
You will be redirected put your comment in the box
I will be working on setting incentives at certain milestone donations marks still to be worked out partly by viewer request and a few other things.
WHO:
I will cast for all 49 hours from start to finish, joined by many other members of iCCup TV who will Rotate in and out during the cast, plus other top players and personalities who care to stop by much like the first Extravaganza
WHAT:
49 Hours of Starcraft 2 for Charity, starting off with serious bsns including an ITL, showmatches, King of the Hill. But as we move on and have been live longer we'll roll back and start to have more fun invite people to come by and join us on skype for hilarity. And even planning on getting a SHRINKAGE Tournament going during the event. Streamed live because you can see exactly what your opponent is doing on Shrinkage anyway so spoilers on the stream don't matter.
Shrinkage game from the first iCCup Extravaganza
Details of all events running during the Extravaganza will be posted at a later date so please don't try to sign up for anything until we provide the proper places and formats.
Starting Friday November 12th 2010 at 8PM Eastern, 5PM Pacific and 9AM Nov 13th Korean Standard Time
Continuing The next 49 hours
Ending Sunday November 14th 2010 at 9PM Eastern, 6 PM Pacific and 10AM Nov 15th Korean Standard Time
WHY:
Because I can, it's fun and it's a good cause.
I am posting this early to get the Date out there so it is known and hopefully we wont run into any more scheduling problems. As we get the actual events set up and figured out I will add them to the post but I want this event to be a lot like the first one where it was a lot of fun for us and for people to watch. So make sure you guys tune in!
Disclaimer 1: If you want to join us on Skype there will be ground rules, failure to follow these rules will result in you being hung up and if the problem persists you will be removed from the Call. We do want other Starcraft Personalities to be able to join us on the stream because that's what made it a lot of fun last time but if you fail to follow these rules we cannot allow you to stay on the Call.
This is a community event we plan on running for a long period of time and want to have the most viewers possible in order to promote the charity donations, so language MUST be kept to a minimum. Slip ups are one thing but major slipups or repeated use of language will result in you being hung up until you can calm down. Repeated offense will result in you being removed from the call. This is a serious matter we dont want potential viewers tuning out because we're swearing too much.
If you want to join us on Skype send someone a message we might not get you in immediately depending on how many people are on the Call as we do not want to overcrowd it. If you are in the call and not really doing anything or have been gone for a while sleeping etc etc you may be removed to make room for new people.
Have fun, thats the entire point of this event and to raise money for chairty.
Disclaimer 2: Was planning on doing this a while ago but rage quit announced theirs like a day before I was ready to so I bumped this back a little bit to not counter program them. Plus they posted they got the idea from our original Extravaganza so i don't want any fanboys in here saying I'm ripping them off.
Disclaimer 3: Everything will be LIVE during this event we do not plan on using replays at all this is for a Charity event so if you have issues with this be warned now as we don't want to deal with it during the event.
Disclaimer 4: Once again every cent will go directly to Child's Play the chip in widget iCCup TV does not want to or even intend to handle any of the money themselves.
Sounds like an epic time, I'd love to join on skype, but first I'd need to see if I'll not be busy doing stuff and/or sleeping. Kudos to you Rael, but I must ask:
What energy drink do you drink? Or do you go old fashion and drink coffee? Or do you go even older fashion and just go by the will of the human spirit (and brain cells).
I dont drink energy drinks, taking in caffeine and energy drinks early on in the cast is a bit of a bad formula it makes the second half nearly impossible in the last final hours caffeine is fine but still not a good idea. So 49 is cuz its 48+1 I didnt manage to get in on the 48 hours first because of ragequit announcing theirs like a day before I wanted to. So whatever I'll come back take my record back and say hey I'm raelcun I can go 49.
I also had like 5 hours of sleep coming into the 34 hours so I'll be properly rested this time. and Another disclaimer, don't try this at home guys I do not reccommend staying up for 49 hours straight
Awesome. I look forward to this and I'm sure it will be a lot of fun to watch.
If you can stay up 49 hours, I should be able to stay up 15-20 so I can sort my sleep. If I don't have that sorted by the time this goes live, I guess I could try to stay awake by watching the stream. Damn you, insomnia! >_<
I'm "ARGHusernametaken" in the chat on ustream/livestream.
Read post above I do not ingest caffeine during the event it only messes you up more over the long term so you have to keep chugging it then hvae the biggest caffeine withdrawl in your life afterwards no ty.
Oh man definitely going to track down the original broken version of that map with all the bugs and shit cuz that was half the fun playing on that massive asteroid field besides the crazy map animations and the space shark. People trying to expand somewhere and it not working lol.

have you played on prodiG's labyrinth of wonders yet?
I should publish that shit again.
Anyway, way to outdo ragequit LOL

labyrinth of wonders man. it's got trollfaces in every main and fake mineral patches
Are donations only going to be taken during the event? I'd love to get some momentum going early, otherwise I'm just going to have to remember to be around on those dates.
Haven't made up my mind on this yet and I havent set up the Chip In yet I will do that early anyways to make sure it's like working and such and some people will find it but don't know yet. Obviously want most of it to come during the event.
Good luck and its good your planning in advanced, i say this with all the best intentions but please please plan enough content to fill the time, im sure you are aware of how long 49 hours can be if the content isnt there. Ill donate regardless :D.

You'd be surprised once you get a bunch of players on the Skype call they'll arrange games almost themselves. They'll set up most of the stuff for you lol it was really funny 2v2s including PainUser when he forgot to mute his microphone we didn't even commentate just let the stream listen to him yell at his partner.
Random free for alls, king of the hills are great ways to fill time but you can't over do them. Players will talk and banter and challenge each other to games the first 34 hours we didn't have anything planned past the first couple of hours and everything just sort of flowed. That's part of what made it fun is that it wasnt super serious and all planned out and on a schedule. You could tell we were just having fun and I think thats part of why people watched.

Excuse me..I don't mean to come off rude but I have a couple of questions here...
Second off ~ Why the same charity as RageQuit tv? Are you guys simply trying to ONE UP them? Are you attempting to OUT DO them and really could care less about the community? Cause that is what it seems like to me.

WHY do you NEED to bribe them to donate?! Why can't you give them a shout out for just a single dollar?! Really now? I think RageQuit tv did a better way of handling donations. BTW - Nice way of using chip in box, same as they did. I love how so far you guys have EVERYTHING they same as RageQuit tv, just 1 single hour longer. WHY does this seem more like a ONE UP move? Do you HONESTLY care about those kids or the community? God I hope so!
Nice change about the WHAT you guys are doing...I was running the Minerva tournament at the time with Cat, so they were casting a tournament that was planned and being ran...while running a KOTH in between matches.

* Who is rage quit? Do you mean RageQuit Tv? Btw...They had this way before you guys. Great to see you guys hoping on board the charity tournaments train though. I hope you won't try to copy the one I'm working on for later this month/December area. ^^

However, i wish you the best of luck! Those Kids need every bit of help, that we as the community can give them.
Sorry that this is my first post but I mainly use this to read stuff. ive never had the need to post my opinion about something till now, like about copy cats. So, i gotta be more active on these forums. is there a good place anywhere to start?
As like it really matters because hey its for Charity.
damn Karina, could you have possibly come off as more of a douchebag if you'd tried? Raelcun and the Iccup team have been around for ages, maybe you should do some research into respected members of the community before posting?
Was it necessary to USE so MANY BOLDED words? I think judicious use of underline and even the rare striike-through may have helped emphasize your points, NO?

This is actually still coming up. I would go more into that post but I happen to know Raelcun is responding right now and he's better at that shit then me.

No interest in "one-up"ing him, in fact his cast inspired this. If you were there you might recall the discussion to do a similar event for charity. This is, in fact, my attempt at that.
I'm also trying to invite Raelcun to cast with us some time, since he inspired this - but he's bm and never responds on MSN, so I'll have to try again some other day
Raelcun: If you're reading this, get a hold of me. You're also officially invited.
Umad? They admitted they got the idea for the 48 hour cast from the iCCup Extravaganza #1. Did you notice the #2 on the thread title?
Not going to bother to answer even half your angry rant. But as to why Child's Play they're a good charity I looked around and they're basically the only Gamer charity. But to restate...
Despite the fact that this is more than obvious an attempt to one up RageQuit.tv (49 hours, really?) - it's for a good cause, so good luck. I hope you raise as much, if not more than us.

I'd like to note that the idea did come from the original Extravaganza - but I was one of the ones discussing the idea in the Extravaganza. I was the one that acted on it - quite a while after the original Extravaganza.
I'd also like to note: I attempted to contact you related to our event, and wanted you to help out - and you never responded. Saying we beat you by a day? You had notice to respond and let me know that you had counter programming - you didn't.
You should at least give credit where it's due. and not directly rip from our name and add +1 hour to try to feel bigger.
But again, good luck. Raise some money for the kids, they deserve it.

Hey just an fyi charity marathon events are not actually a new concept and you did not create it. One of the top gaming streams of all time on Ustream is a Mario charity stream that is MUCH older then ragequit...

Seriously? It's a gaming marathon, this is not a new concept. I happened to do it first in Starcraft 2 but I don't take credit for it. Taking that and adding a charity is not a new concept either. Trying to say I ripped anyone off would be the guys who did the mario marathons before anyone in the Starcraft scene. Am I trying to one up you? Yes but it's a friendly thing nothing malicious. Again I happened to do it first so it's for publicity if I take my 'record' back then people tune in. How is this a bad thing. But if I'm giving credit to anyone then.

Seriously get your priorities straight why the fuck does it matter if I'm one upping them by 1 hour? It's called publicity actual tv stations and radio stations do it all the time. It opens the door for them to come back and one up me by 1 hour later down the road and it's a GOOD thing. Seriously you going back and removing your post pisses me off more than the ignorance of the original one.

There's many things you could have done to make this a "friendly" thing - like mentioning it to us, asking us if we mind you taking our name and adding 1 hour (and changing a word), or even mentioning that the idea actually came from us.
I gave you credit in mine, you even quoted where I mentioned I got the idea. You got the modified idea from us, and the name - where's our credit?

He's not entitled to give you any credit as he is not profiting from it.
On legal grounds, he does not owe you anything. In fact, I would think you should be content that he is using your idea (if he is) to do some good in this world.
I was once in a charity kickball league filled with non-profits and the Red Cross people got all pissy about a disputed out. :| When good things go bad.

Where is this friendly? You didn't even put our name correctly, man.
In fact, I would think you should be content that he is using your idea to do some good in this world.
I realize there are no legal grounds. Legally, he's entitled to do what he wishes.
But he specifically said it was "friendly" - I'm just pointing out that I do not see it this way, at all.

Seriously this is for charity. You didn't invent charity events. It's named somethign different and Raelcun even screwed up the name at that. It was supposed to be "War for the Kids". But that's not the point.
By the way I watched a bit of a charity event that went for a fucking week playing Zelda. Neither you nor Raelcun hold the record, so can you put your e-peen away please?
Why on earth should we ask for permission to do a charity event, that's just absurd. Did you ask Jerry Lewis if you could run a charity event?
Seriously man, I don't know if your trying to make Rage Quit look good but it's backfiring. Who cares if we spelled your name exactly right? You know how many people say "i-cup" or type "iccup" instead of "iCCup" on a daily basis? This is for charity, not you....

No our idea was spawned from the 8 trillion other charity events on the planet that match this exact model.
Seriously man, cool job getting set off by iCCup TV's #1 hater, and blowing some stupid shit out of proportion. You are claiming to have created a form of charity events that have existed for years on end.
Now I know iCCup TV did not have funds in our budget this year for a time machine, I don't know about Ragequit's... If so and you went back in time and created the whole marathon charity event thing then please let me know and we will give you loads of credit.
With that being said I am also out being I have 2999 posts and nothing cool in store for 3000 yet.... SHIT....
This event is going to be so fun, I'm super excited and hope to see everyone there. The guest list is going to be something else.... Prepare to be blown away again !

You say your event was inspired by my first cast. Then in the next breath on refuse to believe that I could possibly be capable of coming up with the idea of a sequel event on my own steam without the help of your own event 2 months later?
Then you quibble about the name of the event? When the name is literally
[Name of the first Event] #2 - [Number of Hours] [Short line about the kids]
The only unique part about the name of your event was For the minerals! And I clearly used a different name. You claim it was directly inspired from your event and yet everything about it was standard gaming marathon for charity. If you really want me to give credit where it is due:
Credit: http://www.TheSpeedGamers.com I've watched over 10 of their gaming marathons I enjoyed all of them greatly and all of my ideas on how I think a charity marathon event should run come from them. They're awesome you should check out their upcoming Kingdom Hearts marathon in December.
edit: Oh pat tells me the speed gamers are the number one gaming stream on Ustream of all time. By a lot sweet good to know.

It's called Hyperbole. The point remains is that this event is being planned basically to match the first Extravaganza with the one added change of adding in donations. Adopting a few donation incentives that I got from http://www.thespeedgamers.com and extending the hours in order to create a friendly rivalry. Apparently I estimated wrong on how you would take the attempt at a friendly rivalry as several sources from RQTV seem to think this is a personal affront to them.
A few things to keep in mind here:
I was planning a followup event pretty much immediately after the first event.
I didn't go through with my original event 1 or 2 weeks after yours out of both respect for your event and common courtesy.
I've gone out of my way to allow a reasonable amount of time to pass between the events so that neither one would overshadow the other and all I've heard from RQTV are accusations of theft. No credit given to an event modeled after the first and using an extremely generic name. Including a certain someone posting on a smurf to yell at me.
If I wanted to rip off your model I probably could have done so and gained many more viewers from it off of the popularity of my original cast while counter programming your event at the same time.
Lastly and most importantly it's for CHARITY I have tried to reason this out with Abyss on MSN but all he keeps stating is that I'm wrong I won't admit it and then he blocked me. He seems to think that the idea of a Gaming Marathon for charity is unique and yet.
Many results... I'm curious to know how Ragequit even knows I'm planning an exact ripoff of their event when basically no details have been announced? I'm sorry but this whole thing just makes you guys look bad. I was planning on my own event at the time so I did not attend yours but I did not make any effort to undermine it as you have mine.
I'm very much looking forward to dropping in as much as possible for this event. It should a ton of fun for the viewers, players, casters, and beneficiary-kids!
Still definitely looking forward to helping this out, Child's Play is something I've been contributing to for a while and I hope we can get a ton of cash.
I'm gonna take a side-step, here, from all the dramallamalicious nonsense that's ended up in this thread and say all that really needed to be said by anyone:
"Yay! Another marathon event for the Child's Play charity! Woohoo!"
'kay? 'kay.
[[wall-of-text warning!!]]
Now. I'm probably gonna get grief from Abyss over this but, honestly, the whole "we did it first, no we did, no WE did, NO WE DID, RAAARSSSSSSSSSsssss...*BOOM!*" thing is so utterly pointless that I'ma stick a fork in it, 'cause it's freakin' DONE already! Hell, it's damn well burnt to a crisp, by now. Sure, Raelcun could at least've written out the name properly (*thppt* :-P") but it is the second Extravaganza and RQTV did use the first as a springboard for what ended up a seriously kick-ass marathon event. Beyond that? Who really cares? The kids got a SHEDLOAD of toys from it and THAT is what matters. Period.
Cool names and stuff aside (since I like both the "Extravaganza" and the "48HfM" ones! :-P): it's a gaming marathon for charity that means (in short) kids that are stuck in a hospital for stupid amounts of time have cool stuff to distract them from the bad things going on around and to them. THIS IS, WITHOUT EXCEPTION, A GOOD THING!
Screw the bitching, screw the back-and-forward bullshit. Seriously. It's childish and demeaning to the whole bloody point of ALL of the marathons (CHARITY!), regardless of who is doing or has done them and it doesn't freakin' matter whether it's the first, the third or the twenty-bazillionth event (though I expect if it was the twenty-bazillionth, we'd actually need that time-machine Diamond mentioned to manage the +1 hour one-ups. :-P).
And for what it's worth - just for the pedantic buggers amongst you and to cut off any more bickering about it (that I've seen elsewhere) - the event officially lasted 48 hours; it unofficially continued on to just over the 57 hour mark with Tofu and I (during which, people were directed to make their donations directly to Child's Play) before Tofu wussed out and fell asleep and I had to stop because there was no-one left that could be the 'screen.' :D So, officially, it was still only 48 hours. Stop arguing about it. Yes, I hung about in chat and such for at least another 20-odd hours and was up for a total of just over 90 hours, straight (no, I'm not kidding - no, I didn't have even a short nap, at any point - yes, my Insomnia Level is OVER 9000!! :-P) but that wasn't official marathon-time. :-P
Oh, and Raelcun's entirely correct about the "no caffeine (until the end, maybe)" thing. Caffeine will buzz you and you'll burn out, early, or end up really ill if you continue to force it (and aren't used to it). Experience talking. -_-
Yes, my topics are jumping all over the place.
Redstone circuits are fun.
Personally, I encourage the charity one-up-manship. If everyone could take a step back, deliberately take it as the good-sportedly tongue-in-cheek excuse that it should be and keep doing it to each other, we'd all be much less stressed (arguably), much more tired (definitely), many more good-hearted nerds (and their friends) would be out of pocket (tee hee!) and many more unfortunate kids would be happier with their new shinies. How is that not a good thing?
Exactly: it is a good thing.
So, quit being tardnerds, start word-of-mouthing this damn event, already, and count this overeager Scotsman as willing to join y'all on Skype, or whatever, in the hopes that you might all actually understand me when I get hyper (y'never know... stranger things have happened...). :-P"

For the record, this map won't be shitty. It is a top secret FFA map that I will not be revealing until the day of the cast.
I hope a lot of children benefit from this, because THAT is the point, not who has the most hours or most viewers or whatever you guys are arguing about.

All I'm going to say is "heh" ^^ going to be going nuts bothering players to come by during the stream this week. And getting details for the actual events we're running set up. In the good news I managed to get someone to publish Shrinkage on EU. If you're looking and it's your map publish the original on EU and I"m sure they'll take it down but I was streaming on EU and it wasnt there so I proclaimed to the stream WE NEED SHRINKAGE ON EU! And magically someone made it happen ♥
Anyways planning on running a shrinkage tournament at some time during the event I might limit it to top players and stream every game in a smaller format just for funsies. I have to get that figured out for you guys anyways I'll also get the chipin posted soon so if anyone wants to contribute and isnt sure they'll be here over the weekend they can go ahead early.
This is going to be awesome guys I'm really excited.
Shouldn't be an issue just some issues with the net I"m going to be reinstalling windows on thursday just to make everything is clean and nice. Plus wiht the way this works we usually have enough people around to pick up the stream if I can't keep it running as well.

Best of luck guys, I hope it goes great and you get lots of money for the charity.

Ahh effin.. I'm looking at the chipin page and the feature to put in comments is apparently gone only two people have donated so I'm contacting them to see if they wanted shoutouts we'll have to rethink how we're going to work that. Maybe set up an email you can email your shoutouts to with the paypal email and Donation amount to confirm it was you. So I took out the note about donating $20 for now until I can get that figured out.

There should be the option to attach a note to the paypal transaction, check and see if that works.
Yeah the problem is I can see the email of the person that donated, the amount but not the comment. I added a donation just to test it. So I'm going to go set up a dummy email people can send shoutouts to. Seems to be the only way. We're not handling the money at all so we can't see the paypal transaction notes. In the past I remembered being able to do that but I guess in that instance the event was sending money to the person running it who then forwarded it just so he could see the comments.
I'm actually kinda really excited by this... I'll probably watch the majority of this stream depending on my insomnia! I probably could even match you on your 49 hours awake... hmmm. Either way I think its great and will be getting people to tune in

Pretty sure you remember correctly, actually; as Ipp commented on donation comments more than a few times throughout our event and ours went directly to CP.

Will love to have you stop by! We got to get a 13 man Pro FFA happening again on that map where you had to liftoff cause your starting base was unminable! :D lol

And there is a difference between a little casual swearing and that dude's inability to contruct a sentence without swearing... Maybe just a little over the top don't you think ?

We've been going for over 26 hours at this point, we are doing this for fun. Can we avoid making a drama out of this and just instead look how we have already raised over $2,000 for charity?
well I just donated whatever I had left on paypal, I dont really know how to get money on there it was just leftover which was only about 87$ I guess, sorry T_T

No need to be sorry, thank you very much! Every $ counts! You rock sir !
I do support the idea, but every time I've tuned in I've been seeing silver players - It ruins it. Try and get some good players to support the idea? Should be plenty of people out there to support such a nice idea.
It's hard to get players constantly over a 2 day period with many other events running at the same time (see TL calendar) and while keeping the stream entertaining. Plenty of serious matches were cast, as well as some semi-serious (CatZ-Drewbie grudge match ftw), and a bunch of random crap when we can't find anything else.
I couldn't do it Rael...Got to hour 39... But i was up for a good 8 hours before the stream started! So i got close to being 49 up at least.
Great job guys, Thank you so much Dlovan for keeping Rael up and keeping us entertained. I look forwards to a Bounty Hunters match! Thanks to ProdiG for the 11 legged Chair, and the ensuing rage/hilarity. Thanks to Destiny for breathing life into the ****ing stream. Thanks to CatZ for just being Catz man. There isn't much else to say beyond that <3. That's to Josh Suth, for being a great voice to keep us awake. And of course, nucleaR. Staying awake through it all, and i hope you have a good nap for the next 20 hours. :p
Rael was an absolute warrior that whole time. Man staying up that long sucks a lot. It was great to see the viewer count stay so consistently high the whole weekend. So proud that the oft-maligned gaming community came together and proved that we can make the world a better place through games simply because we felt like it :-)
Rael blew me away. I watched a LARGE portion of the cast and there was very rarely a dull moment. The dull moments were still awesome though, since it was dull because rael was passing out and we could watch him xD.
Props to all that supported the skype call to keep rael alive as well, dlovian, catz, qxc and destiny come to mind as some true ballers of the weekend.
Nice hat, I wish more casters would jump on that trend and would try to get a even more funny hat than everybody else. =)
Would've never expected that you raise that much money. (the sc community is so unbelievable nice) You should've invited Day9 to play a show match. You could've easily broken 5k if you teased us with the match, especially if it would've been against Tasteless. 7k at least.
It's sad that you only ever hear of the evil violent gamers, that train to kill people on their computer, when you watch news or discussions on tv. I never heard one of those guys say. "Well, there are these guys who streamed 49 hours of live gaming and raised 4500$ for charity.."
btw>I want more fake grudge matches, no..a whole grudge match tournament, that was so entertaining. And the winner should be the player with the most creative&funny bm, who cares about winning a game anyway? But the players should take it serious, at least think about it and prepare a few good lines. Imho doing the same all-in joke 5 times in a row should result in a straight up DQ by the referee.
All-star grudge match KotH, make it happen! =D
Eventhough it wasn't a grudge match, the bm refineries and ninja gold mining was hilarious..^^
There needs to be a collaborative effort with every known streamer. :D Instead of $4k, how about going for $40k, or perhaps $400k (don't know if that's possible). Instead of turning this into a fight, I believe RQTV and iCCup TV should do a charity event together. Should shake hands, instead of punching eachother.
I really enjoyed some of the games, good job guys.. even though it wasn't exactly 49hours of 'straight casting.' Great job none-the-less.. there's going to be lots of happy children!
Thanks Raelcun and iCCup.TV! Once again I missed more than I wanted to, but! It was awesome for the few hours I could catch.
Does anyone know when prodiG debuted the awesome new BM map? I'll willingly sift through all the VODs but that was the one thing I wanted to watch but got pulled away before I got a chance

Just go with the channels, RQTV, iCCup TV, and GLHF. There's more than enough casting power there to draw in the viewers and allow for a rotation for like a week long event. Add in arranging something with Day9 for the dailies and $400k would be more than possible I believe.
And I still want to see a rematch of the Day9 vs Orb show match from the first extravaganza.
Pyrestrike: The map 11-legged Chair was played on Saturday night around 8pm. I know this well because I had to get ready for work then and delayed as long as I could so I could see the map in all it's epic BM-ness.

Dammit! I missed that map due to having to drive out to a remote work area! Need to check VODs! >_<
And "PFFT!" at people being BM and not responding to my requests to join y'all, for the hours I was around! (I saw you close my tab twice without reading it, Rael., ya git. ;P)

Thanks Dukat! Do you mean 8pm EST? I'll try to find the VOD with it, and if I do I'll post it here
edit: Found it! It's on "49 Hours for Kids! Hour 23! - Part 7" :D
I'm also trying to look for the Raelcun Daily but I'm not sure it was on the VODs...
Should also thank the cast for introducing PartyCraft to me and my buds, that was some hilarious stuff, both to watch and for us to play later XD

I really doubt it. I don't know what the biggest charity stream marathons are, but I know the Mario one is big, and even with more widespread appeal and press coverage, they didn't come close to breaking $100k this year (their third year).
I do agree, though, that with more organization, more people (so everyone can sleep), and more planned events, it turn into a much bigger event, if that's what iccuptv want. And of course I'm not saying there was anything wrong with the way things were run this time around. This was still great.

It's really hard to get that many schedules all lined up for one weekend. I don't see any problem with multiple times throughout the year different streamers having these.
Only RQ is upset here for reasons that are far beyond me. I have no intention of working with them after Abyss turned this thread ugly for several pages out of jealously or something. Ipp is an AWESOME guy (met him at DC) but no thanks on ever working with Abyss.

I think it was late saturday night but I cant be sure. Search "chair" on US to play it~ every marathon cast deserves a hilarious bm map!

this was awsome, i watched as much as i could. rael is a beast, qxc is awsome, and dlovan + CatZ + Destiny BM was off the charts! If this is ever done again, make sure to rotate casters :O poor rael has to hold down the fort.

I never had any problems with RQTV and we even had Sheekthief on stream for us with 13 hours. So idk I'm willing to work with RQTV but Sheek was the only one who actually asked to get on the call.

I read it but literally if I started taking every single viewer who wanted in then we'd wind up with around 50 people talking at once so I really just couldn't do that.

19 hours? That's not too bad, you slept what, 14 after the first extravaganza? So assuming a similar rate of sleep time increase to get a full day's sleep you'd have to be up for about 62 hours. Although in doing that you might cause you some serious harm, and I'm not entirely sure your computer would survive.
Not to derail. But what is your set up to constant stream like you did.. If anyone has good rescources let me know please... Gonna try something in an unrelated medium.
BM $.61 on the final donation total! Almost exactly $4500 raised very nice. for 49 hours that's around $92 an hour! Extremely impressive for the kids and thanks for the hilarious cast too
