I am sure he can afford 60 dollars for a SC2 copy and own noobie 1500+ Korean diamond players for casual entertainment while he decide what he will do for his future career. Of course...if he really want some quick money, 85 grand in US dollars in fact, I suppose he wouldn't mind dedicating couple more months of his life to gaming...and walk away with the trophy. Face it, if Effort REALLY want to play SC2 right now, I don't see anybody being able to stop him. This is a true S-class player we are talking about. Exactly what I'm thinking. It all really adds up. Effort would have no chance of winning another individual league (can't beat Jaedong in ZvZ, could possibly lose to Stork in PvZ, would probably struggle hard against Leta/Sea/Light, Flash isn't dumb and would not lose like he did again doing two risky builds in a row) nor would CJ Entus win proleague without Coach Cho. So you go quit while you still can, spend a month learning SC2, play a season of GSL and bash some scrub players to win a pretty easy ~$100,000 then do whatever you want with your life. Not only does Effort has experience in series matches and typical zerg play, he has raw mechanics (micro, macro, multitasking) that not a single person in the GSL is even close to having.

I doubt it would be that easy to be honest. There are a lot of good players now with more and more BW pros coming over. If Effort has played a lot less than the other guys what makes you think he will come out on top?

![]() I really do think he could come in, sweep the floor with everyone on his way to the finals and walk away with a nice sum of cash. As for the other players: fuck yea, boxer and oov!

Seems you dont really read all posts. As I said earlier, TLO stated that its 50/50. Which tells us, that Boxer is pretty good right now, but not that godlike as he was in BW. You may ask him yourself, he gave that information to fragster.de. Still one question: Will GomTV show, who signs in for GSL2. So not just who makes it to the Round-of-64 but who signs in for the tournament. Would be interesting to check the names and maybe see some well-known names.

So whoever tries their hand at GSL 2 will be made public.

I should also point out, just because the Japanese dominate fighting games doesn't stop fighting game tourneys (ie. Evo) from cropping up and getting attention. No cause to worry IMO about the foreign scene.

What? Do you mean the averatec-intel classic that ran on gom? Thats in fact the averatec-intel classic, and not GSL. GSL has no SC1 component.

However, what SC2 needs now is a new Boxer who will revolutionize the way we see SC2 the way Boxer did, and considering the state of QQ at the moment that messiah would have to be Zerg. A lot of big names came at a time when their races were considered weak and they brought some new playstyle that made people rethink the game.
