Yeah, I think that's it, Carnac. I would like to try and play on the Korean server, but unfortunately, my internet is really bad. So it would disconnect, and I would get angry Koreans on my tail. I want to see the real skill level of Koreans, for my own eyes!!!
I have an announcement to make, "Moo!" That is all.

Don't you need a Korean SSN to play on the Korean server anyways? Even if you had an incredible connection there's no way you would be able to get an account on the KR server.

anyone can play on the korean servers, so long as the account has been activated using a korean ID number. so, if a korean is willing to make an account for a foreigner, anyone can download the client and play there.

you need to purchase a korean copy to play in korea, because you need a korean CD key registered to a korean bnet account.

i think it's worth it though. i have great internet, and i'm considering getting a korean version of the game because i hate the stupid play that plagues the american servers. i'd probably only be in gold league there, but that'd still be far more enjoyable than diamond here.

The only legal way I know is visiting South Korea with a long term Visa (> 90 days, working/studying/marrying/...). Then a foreign version of Korean SSN can be applied.

I was curious about this issue, so I searched and found a news article about the recently established way of applying "I-PIN" (which can be used instead of KSSN in kr.battle.net) even with a short term visa. But I can't find the exact procedure yet. (Maybe the article is wrong?) It still requires visiting South Korea but much easier than getting a serious visa.

Because of the KSSN, does that limit one SC2 account or rather, one Battle.net account to each person? And by that, I mean to Korean citizens.

IF the stupid play on the NA servers is the one base all in stuff that you see all the time then going to the korean server isnt going to help at all. Everything I heard is that the korean is even more 1 base all in agression then the US server is

Yeah only one battlenet account each. Buying and binding multiple SC2 copies is possible.

Im saying that I have heard from several different places that the korean ladder is much more aggressive, and people(Day[9]) have joked that all you need to do to win is defend for 10 minutes

If you can't defend a one base all in play then your opponent is not really the stupid one.

That's all it is.. a joke. In fact I don't really know where he based that joke off of, since a lot of the koreans play safe and heavy macro.

Korean ladder is the hardest region by far and I'd practice over there if I could get my hands on an account.

I don't know why there's such a prevailing idea of "noobs go all in".

If you failed to spot cheeses and all ins you are obviously not as good of a player as you think. Pros are able to do greedy build because they have the micro to stop cheese and pull ahead, as well as the game sense and scouting to stop them.

I may dare even use the example of Idra, who always used to rage about cheeses. However, if a player cannot stop cheese or counter it, he's simply not a good player.

B net strategy will evolve as more and more player able to defend against cheese. I personally were hardly ever cheesed at 950 diamond.
Carrier has arrived.

Korea level is higher , because there is so much more people in there aiming to be pro. In NA server maybe top 5 is thinking about being a pro in korea probably top 50 is aiming that high.

The lag is noticeable for sure but it's not that bad imo. I can't guarantee the same for you though...
