Maybe I just don't understand the situation, but I can't see why someone would live in Korea and not learn Korean. Doesn't this put him at a severe disadvantage? Or is English just that common among SC progamers?

My guess is that Korean is actually a difficult language to learn, and that when you're following a strict schedule of 10-12 hours a day training, sleeping and eating, all week around, you're going to not have much time to focus on learning a new language as well?

"ma" can mean horse, weed, mom and something else depending on how you say it.i gave up right there.) are a total different story.

IEM 1st place prize - $5,000 MLG 1st place prize - $2,500 He's obviously not going to leave Korea. The only place you can make any serious money as a full time pro gamer is in Korea. He would be crazy to leave now. If IdrA is really in it for the long haul, he should definitely be making more of an effort to learn the language though.

He said a while back he was actually taking Korean lessons but gave that up as it was taking alot of his time aswell as not helping him with his career as far as what Korean he was learning was all like "where is the bathroom" not "Go play X and do Y against him."
