In his cryptic clues Jinro and idra and chris (chris loranger? aka huk) are mentioned and the only thing they have in common is the GSL. An anagram of "Day of [Leaders/Dealers] it's coming" was used this could mean alot, possiblly leaders of esports?
So leaders of esports are gathering in california and incontrol and gretorp have given up there daily lives to go there. Lets also consider incontrol and gretorp have both expressed their joy for casting and commentating.
So this is my conclusion:
A huge american style GSL tournament is going to be launched in california with incontrol and gretorp as the tournament commentators to rival that of tasteosis.
So why did Machine move out there?
THE MYSTERY THICKENS.

I'm pretty sure they were all dead at the end for some reason or in limbo, which one may argue as dead.
But fuck it, LOST was so predictable it was bad, I remember saying that everyone would die since about 09, none of my friends believed me, so I made sure I dickslapped them with I FUCKING TOLD YOU SO when it ended.
So, how about that State of the Game conversation huh?
Good stuff.

Maybe iNcontroL is joining The Game Station and meeting up with Husky & Friends in LA.

Yeah.......no.
American SC2 needs Day[9] to cast/commentate, I would love to see InControl/Day[9]/Gretorp though.
InDayTorp....Make it happen.

i heard in State of the game where Gretorp was a guest that his job really gave him financial stability, for him to quit his job and move to California... this new thing must be something really big

That seems likely, considering how highly incontrol speaks of Husky.
My educated guess would be something related to Gosucoaching. Be it a tournament, a youtube station(similar to the game station), or some other Starcraft 2 media project. It has the money(just look at the rates), the connection(how many teams/sponsors are represented?), and the personnel to take on this type of project.
Or, it could be that they want to prove the horse theory in California.
Or, perhaps incontrol will be leading some kind of nerd cult where he gives hope to the masses that you can get a model girlfriend while having a life that revolves around video games.
Or, he wants to get over his irrational hatred of sandals.

Could be plausible, but do you honestly believe that would be the "single biggest event in Western SC2 e-sports"? I might be getting caught in the hype but I would guess that it's definitely something more than that, considering how long ago it was since the initial announcement it has obviously been planned for a while.

(Oh no, what have I done.)

He covers plenty as it is, could do with a big tournament without him.
Assuming it'll be a big tournament, of course...

hahah this made me laugh. I'm thinking a tournament produced by the likes of EG and day9 and gretorp for a big prize pool and perhaps the involvement of more mainstream media

Rotating casters, with all the big names joining in. You can't really be prepared to ignore the enormous pull that HD/Husky can have when making a business decision like this.

Gosucoaching is announcing SC2: the video game: the movie, Jinro as jimmy Raynor, Incontrol as Mengsk and Idra as...Kerregan?

You also can't ignore the enourmous amount of people that will ignore the stream because they are casting.

HD and Husky are so crap, I'd cry if I found out that the "biggest western eSports announcement ever" involved them.

I wouldn't mind if Husky cast the first one to be honest. He always preaches about how much he cares about E-sports and how much he wants it to grow, yet he NEVER mentions that MLG or the GSL are going on (with the exception of the time he casted in MLG, and the first announcement of the GSL) so telling all the hardcore fanboys about it would give it much more viewers, as we know he would never say anything otherwise.
He claims to care about esports but really he just wants the same people to only watch his videos, otherwise there will be too many games to watch and he would get less views.

Day9 and DJwheat is the best casting combo in NA/EU atm. If anyone is planning to create some big GSL like tournament then id think they would have their eyes for Day9 atleast. I doubt he is that expensive to hire.
|
I think by day of leaders he meant that hes going to announce/the event is going to happen on presidents day.
|
It's got to be a tournament. Anything else won't live up to the hype.
