As for my 2 cents about what it could possibly be, I have 2 theories: Incontrol has managed to convince scientists (only the best in brightest live in SoCal) that they could be in the front lines of genetic engineering if they were able to create a Zerg race, and in doing so have designed zerg pets, lovely (but safe) tiny little zerglings, without speed, that you can have as a pet. OR There is a massive tournament going on, but, and I can't believe no one has realized this, ESPN will be the deliverers of such a tournament (remember that ESPN changed headquarters a year or two ago to LA, coincidence?! i think not). So instead of a GSL, it will be an ESPNSL casted by incontrol, Day[9], and Gretorp + Show Spoiler + I feel my duties to the hype machine have been fulfilled

Expect this to go on for a couple more pages, as well as being mixed in with the occasional hints about incontrol's biggest announcement of all time in the world of history. Sure a big tourney and what else is great, but they already exist, and having more of them are just more of the good stuff but is it worthy of this kind of hype....imho meh. Having ESPN involved though would take it to another level in the west, move it closer to how it is in south korea. Of course It's been done before but now with such great people and them actually being players who really know the game....fucking KNOCK OUT. Whatever it is though it will be great and I'm looking forward to it

Nothing they announce could possibly live up to all the hype. Inc should probably have done what they did with TSL3 and just announce it out of the blue, that way it's a nice big surprise. Now people are expecting ESPN and god knows what else.

Whatever it is though it will be great and I'm looking forward to it That's especially the thing I'm going to try to not get my hopes up for. To me, ESPN seems way out of the realm of possibilities. I would be blown away if it happened, but I just can't see such a major national network picking up something like this(unfortunately). It would indeed be the biggest event to happen to e-sports in the West, though. I'd love to be horribly wrong on that assumption, but that's how I'm feeling about it... A US-based international league would be fantastic, so I'll really be hoping for that in itself. To buffer that excitement, I'll just expect the big surprise to be Geoff and Gretorp's official SC2-themed horsemilk enterprise(chilled of course). Nayy-y-y-yyyyyy

Here's hoping it's announced on SotG tonight (since it will technically be tomorrow at the end), but probably not.

As for the announcement. iNcontrol seems like the sort of guy who would know what the powers of the internets and the TL community would do to the announcements of the announcement, so I'm assuming it's actually something quite big. He doesn't strike me as the sort of guy who would go "wow, I never knew this sort of reaction would happen". As for State of the Game.. this should be a very good episode. Can't wait.
