(emphasis mine) If you are on the next podcast I hope you bring this up along with specifics on some of the better attack strategies in that time range. Would be most helpful.

Plus I think SjoW has knowledge and understanding of the game like no one else atm, and could provide A LOT to the recently introduced segments, like the match up of the week and so on. Just look at his results, with such a low APM, sloppy macro, and often not using hotkeys, surely his skill lies in his brain ;D

If he got results then it is most likely by chance or because his opponents were even worse. I actually don't mean to say that Sjow is a bad player, I haven't seen him play enough to tell if what you say is true. My point is that we should not salute someone for having sloppy macro or not using hotkeys. If it is true what you say, those are glaring weaknesses. There is also a common misconception that macro (and mechanics in general) does not require mental tenacity, which it most certainly does. I think it is what requires the most "skill in ones brain", as you put it; to achieve good macro during heated matches.

I'm not saying hes a good player either (although i think he is). All I'm saying is that his game knowledge and understanding must be huge, to be able to win with the best, even with the weaknesses he has. Therefore he could be super interesting to listen too, or to talk to Incontrol about not scouting. I was just saying his podcast value would be great. I'm pretty sure he's working on these weaknesses too.

I almost never post but see it as a very lolz worthy thread, everyone getting so angry, we all know its good to scout and if one high ranked player does it differently than that changes nothing, you do or you dont ![]() Completely true. Players play how they want or see fit. Bad practices gradually dissipates from the professional scene based on who wins and who looses.

I'm sure it's possible, and someone may volunteer to wake up at 5 am to speak on the premier SC2 podcast, but it may not be quite as simple as, "Sup SjoW? Want to have a little chat about SCV scouting in TvT and TvP?" I don't think that getting 4 people together is a logistical nightmare, but also don't think that JP will reschedule the show for an European.

IIRC, just today his Void Ray play basically manhandled Slush, who is indisputably one of NA's strongest Zergs. This. It was the first game I've seen Mini play and he seems beastly! Another addition to the scene NO DOUBT!

I really don't like that way of playing, though watching MC is incredible.

His micro is decent, his builds are pretty good, strategy is amazing, but his horrible mechanics are something he has to work out of his system. By horrible mechanics, i mean, using 1 army control group only using the first 1-4 hotkeys ive seen him actually click to build stuff his multitasking isnt up to par really, and because of that, his macro is lacking. Ive watched alot of his games so far on his stream, and if he can work out those kinks (he already plays a ton and isnt improving in those aspects that much), he will be a fine player. But pitted up against nony, huk, incontrol, or any of the top toss players, i dont think he would fair so well. I play to have fun, sure I am trying to win, but I'm not going to go out of my way to try and win, it's ladder, there is no prize for winning. I'm not going to hotkey my forge, and if I want to click immortal instead of reaching over to the "i" button, I'm going to click it, is it because I can't? no, it's because I don't want to. On December 14 2010 13:43 BetterFasterStronger wrote: Here it is. Minigun is a good player. His PvP is a bit cheezy, but everyone's is. When i hit him on the ladder 1 forcefield usually wins me the game. Not really a test of skill though, its fucking pvp. From what I've seen. He beats bad players, but gets crushed by anyone who knows what they are doing. iNcontroL, IdrA, Dimaga. Lot of players tear him apart. All of this can be explained by him training with CatZ. (BAM SHOT AT CATZ) HOWEVER, if he keeps improving at the rate he is he will be a HIGH LEVEL player in 6-12 months. And when i say high level I mean competing in GSL. He was complete garbage when i hit him on the ladder 2 months ago, and hes 10x the player he was then. TLDNR: Hes bad, but will be good. Good players tear me apart? I am like 2-1 against idra, way up on dimaga, and beat other "top" players consistantly. Am I saying I am better than them? No, but I am saying I get anything but crushed by them. Half the people in this thread have no idea what they are talking about. But I'm not going to sit here defending myself when I know they are wrong,
