Well Incontrol is in Sweeden and Artosis was tweeting that he was on his way back to Korea. I don't think their flights are going to have bandwith to support a show, so we might have to wait a while. All the pillars agreed they should try to make JP win the coveted and super important king of the web award for being the excellent host of sotg and how much it would help esports to have the winner be from the sc2 community. Day9 suggested all the pillars dress up as characters from Sex and the City and act out a scene from it if JP wins King of the Web. Everyone thought this was a good idea to get votes but Idra felt like that movie was weak compared to others they could do such as "mean girls". He pointed out some flaws in the movie that needed to be fixed in a new directors cut. Day9 disagreed and felt they could not determine the stronger of the two movies without a lot more time exploring all the potential interpretations of the movies and any symbolism they contain. They had an epic argument that escalated to where mean things were said on both sides that can not be unsaid. The worst part was when Day9's own brother betrayed his trust and sided with idra. Day9 and idra could no longer stand to be on the same show together, However EG used their influence to conspire with the old boys club that secretly run esports and it was decided that idra was the one who could stay while day9 was forced into exile from sotg or he would be sabotaged like the GESL tournament was. They need to take a long time because it will require a professional level production to compete with the combined might of day9 and husky crossdressing. ( and the fans would complain about an unprofessional production hurting esports anyways) | ||

Hopefully August will be their time when they can announce something. The worst part of setting things up like this is the waiting for the contracts to be drafted, read, re-drafted, read, re-drafted(call you tell I work in the legal field, I hate contracts with a passion) and then signed. The worst part is that no one can talk about what is going on because the contracts are in flux and talking about the terms or what happening is a good way to mess up the process. But its worth the wait to assure we get regular SotG. Thanks for keeping us up to date. | ||
