1. JP cutting off avilo was the most unprofessional thing I've ever seen him do. Simply terrible. And the apology at the end of the show doesn't really cut it.
2. IdrA's anti-MKP thing would be cute as a joke but I know realize he means it. I won't try to psychoanalyze Greg but maybe he can explain why MKP is so terrible when MKP's results are so so so much better. Here's a thought Greg, MKP is current IPL Fight Club champ. Challenge him, beat him, win some money, and show how great you really are.
3. IdrA's advice seems to be both to stop doing the same builds but also keep doing the same builds but just run the hellions past the queens. He also thinks Terrans can match economies with greedy zergs and they can do late game tech switches as quickly and easily as zergs. Maybe instead of iNcontroL vs. avilo we need a race-switch IdrA vs avilo match and see how 3 oribital's worth of MULEs keep up with 90 drones - Remember Terrans are also supposed to do a lot more scanning these days too.
4. TvZ in GSL this season? This is a few days old but just add about 2 or 3 to each side: GS race stats . It's still under 30%. But hey, just give it a few more months right? Just need some more time to figure it out....

It's like a bunch of bullies from high school inviting someone they don't like to the cool kids table then making fun of him and kicking him out rofl, you guys are fucking pathetic excuses for people and players.

IdrA was tame for the better half of the "debate" even though he obviously dislikes Avilo and didn't even want to talk to him. Avilo even came on the show acting like a passive aggressive prick and should have been hung up on right then and there. You can even tell it crossed JPs mind until Geoff hopped in and said "This is your only chance, don't blow it"
After IdrA attempting to be tame, Avilo totally blows it by interrupting him in the middle of talking and screaming "I agree with you!! I AGREE WITH YOU!!!!" Completely twisting IdrAs point around to favor his argument. This would anger anyone having a discussion with some random person, let alone someone you explicitly dislike. At that point, JP had to hang up on him or risk a further blow up from IdrA. are we watching the same show? Idra has been going full force in ad-hominem attacks and interrupting avilo nonstop before it even escalated to that point Avilo selectivly took parts of Idra's argument and then made it seem as if Idra was agreeing with Avilo which was not correct, how do you stop someone doing that and then not paying attention to you telling them that you're not fucking agreeing with them Yea I mean, it was nothing else than quote mining from Avilo, he just randomly took incomplete pieces of Idras statements lol. It made no sense.

Have some standards please and say "no" to clowns like him. newsflash, nobody on state of the game has any results or skill. They have all fallen off the map and is more of an entertaining entity now.
Maybe if they spend more time playing sc2 they might have better results. I mean, I just saw huk, demuslim and bunch of other pros walking around chatting. I have a good feeling puma is the only one there actually going full force at practicing

I don't think highly of avilo, but I feel bad for the guy. Idra only waited for a good moment to shit on avilo. Then avilo behaved rather nicely, so Idra just randomly blew up.
Please stop with "Oh, avilo interrupted idra". Like they would never do this in debates, and especially SOTG.

incontrol - the bullied become the bullies. so sad to see.

I'm pretty sure that wether or not you agree with what Avilo/Idra said/did, we can all agree that JP fucked up.

Can anyone give a summary of what happened? That would be really great.

Avilo could've been clearer with his argument, though it seemed like he was grasping for straws; asking "What builds would you suggest?" was basically the same as "Figure out the new metagame for me", which doesn't convince me when IdrA was arguing that the new metagame has yet to develop.
I agree with IdrA that letting it play out is the right response, but it's still a little bit of a cop-out in terms of debate.
Asking what you suggest isn't him looking for an answer to the metagame from Idra. It's a common way of eliciting a more specific response from the other side in a balance debate. Idra was making a lot of broad statements about Terran's not using good builds, or that good Terran play would solve their issues. Avilo was trying to make him actually defend that position with reasonable and factual builds/methods of playing. It's easy to just go, "Hey, that's balanced - you're just bad and uncreative". Asking, "So what do you suggest" is a good way of revealing the laziness of the "you/your builds are bad" argument.

Are you new? Have you checked any of their history in events before? IdrA has won so many tournaments, NonY in BW..
Must be new.
Also IdrA has 2 accounts and both have so many games played it's plain right dumb. He plays, you just don't see it.

But Incontrol your behavior is actually just fucking disgusting, I thought you were better than that.
This show proved a few things to me:
QXC is a smart guy and can debate well, Idra can debate well if he's not angry. JP listens to the stream chat when he shouldn't QXC and Nony are extremely respectful guys. Incontrol, despite how he acts like a nice guy at events he casts and hosts, can be a pretty big bully.
I completely agree with this post, very well said

That was my last StoG show that I will watch with Idra on the panel. Pretty evident that guy does not belong in this scene. His arrogance and self-entitelment is all build on something that was.
Please disappear Idra.

Glad the TL thread is more sane than the reddit thread who thinks Avilo was a perfect gentleman (feels like we watched two different shows). Avilo was extremely poor spoken at first and very rude towards the end, but it was in poor taste to have him on in the first place. As if it matters what twitch.tv chat thinks.

That picture they put up was avilo when he was 13 and that, too, was just put there to make fun of him. Nice going guys!
Idra said: "i was quiet and let him finish his point, the moment i started talking he started yelling over me and saying i agreed with him when i quite explicitly didnt. hes a fucking imbecile and has no place in anything serious in the community and jp's a piece of shit for bringing him on the show.
@Idra, how can you lie when people were actually watching? Avilo never once raised his voice and he said, "I agree with what Idra said about..." and tried to explain, but your hatred didn't hear that.so you told him to STFU. Very mature of you.
All of you should be ashamed of yourselves. Oh look its someone making up shit for fun. JP put the picture up, he asked avilo if its actually him or not because he had no idea. How can you purposefully pick a picture that is bad of someone if you're not sure its them in the first place? Stop makin stuff up thanks man. lol... apparently you don't have reading comprehension duh. try again.
You said they chose the picture just to make fun of him, I told you different.
Why exactly is my reading comprehension failing atm?

So they brought on one of the most biased terran players to combat one of the most biased zerg players... yeah, don't think we'll get anywhere. Unstoppable force meets immovable object in a sense.

Seriously, "use your brain", I can't believe you said that. You can still say something and not cut him like that ? You can cut his mic, say that the debates ends here, thanks for coming, bye ? "Use your brain" lol. I've seen you being salty about terran and a lot of things in this thread, so yea, i might have used the wrong words sorry. Well I have to say that I'm not easily shocked, and I found this shocking. I don't really know Avilo tho, but that was just...really low. JP was in panic mode at that point. kind of silly you MrCon expecting him to follow some sort of trainwreck protocol as if you in the same situation would do the same thing (and don't tell me you would that's just a dick answer) he stopped the situation getting even worse and picked the lesser of 2 evils Wheat would have handled that like that ? What's your point? that's a silly comparison to make The comparison between 2 show hosts is silly to make ? Just reread your post and mine, you'll see why I made the comparison. And Wheat hung up on come callers who were just saying random shit or insults, not on someone he invited to debate ? It seems you people are so used to sotg getting shit for the most trivial things made you also used to defend those things before you reflect on them. Is this thread in some kind of collective hysteria, no one is making sense.
It's a silly comparison because Wheat has many more years in the host role than JP the fact that you make the point that Wheat would know correct trainwreck protocol and would execute it correctly is such a noshit point to make.
Not that Wheat of all people would have seen the situation as you did and would have responded with your response.
