Perfection. Thank you so much. Made my night. Everyone joking and laughing up to, and after Avilo really lent the podcast a more old school feel that, now that I've seen it again, I realize I miss. Keep it up! I feel exactly the same way. It's comforting after marauding through the 1 month later.., thread to hear Idra talk matter of factly about TvZ.
The way I look at it, QxC was the Terran we all want to talk TvZ with. Intelligent, thinks out his points, and is willing to not only concede topics but stand by what he thinks is true. Great. Excellent.
Avilo was the embodiment of the "1 month later..." thread. He was full of bitching and moaning that might have had some good points hidden in there, but they needed QxC to dig them out. And when QxC did, they made sense. How about that. When you make points without bitching before, after, and during them, people actually want to hear what you're saying.

That picture they put up was avilo when he was 13 and that, too, was just put there to make fun of him. Nice going guys!
Idra said: "i was quiet and let him finish his point, the moment i started talking he started yelling over me and saying i agreed with him when i quite explicitly didnt. hes a fucking imbecile and has no place in anything serious in the community and jp's a piece of shit for bringing him on the show.
@Idra, how can you lie when people were actually watching? Avilo never once raised his voice and he said, "I agree with what Idra said about..." and tried to explain, but your hatred didn't hear that.so you told him to STFU. Very mature of you.
All of you should be ashamed of yourselves.
You're making stuff up, and it's sad, because your username implies you're from Arkansas. We could be friends here. But no.
1) It's called trolling. Avilo knew he was going on to get trolled, there was no other way about it.
2) Did you pay attention to what Avilo was actually saying though? Idra said that Zerg would, and should, win if you let them get to the point where their economy supports tech switch after tech switch after tech switch without an economy yourself to do the same. Avilo said "I agree with what you said," meaning that the Queen range buff gives the Zerg the ability to create such a dread scenario without any input from the Terran.
Idra basically said "If you let someone write a 100,000 page book, it'll be too long to read. You should learn how to read faster than they can write or give up," and Avilo answered "Exactly, which is why we should take away every author's computer. That way they can't type so much. Glad we agree."
Avilo was being a five year old. That simple. And he was yelling over Idra, both of them were yelling at each other. I know. I heard it. and Avilo acting the martyr is hilarious after the show he put up in here challenging Incontrol to a showmatch, then trying to change it to an offrace showmatch after Incontrol accepted, and just generally being a bitch about not being allowed on SOTG last week. This is why he wasn't. He doesn't know what he's talking about. He has to have someone like QXC salvage his points for him. And if that's the case, why not just have QXC on? You know, cut out the middle man.

Really JP? You bring this avilo guy on, who has no credentials, no skill, no results anywhere all, and let him talk? Was that segment supposed to be a joke? Did you want to fuel sweet reddit drama?
How can anyone play Terran and not facepalm because this fool was chosen to be their representative where dozen others would have been able to a better job? This was embarassingly bad JP, and you are the cause for this, because you provided him a platform for people to laugh at.
Have some standards please and say "no" to clowns like him.

IdrA was tame for the better half of the "debate" even though he obviously dislikes Avilo and didn't even want to talk to him. Avilo even came on the show acting like a passive aggressive prick and should have been hung up on right then and there. You can even tell it crossed JPs mind until Geoff hopped in and said "This is your only chance, don't blow it"
After IdrA attempting to be tame, Avilo totally blows it by interrupting him in the middle of talking and screaming "I agree with you!! I AGREE WITH YOU!!!!" Completely twisting IdrAs point around to favor his argument. This would anger anyone having a discussion with some random person, let alone someone you explicitly dislike. At that point, JP had to hang up on him or risk a further blow up from IdrA. are we watching the same show? Idra has been going full force in ad-hominem attacks and interrupting avilo nonstop before it even escalated to that point
Idra didn't even saying anything remotely hurtful until avilo interrupted him mid-sentence. Sorry you didn't get a 30 minute whinefest from avilo that you wanted so badly but I think it was for the best.

JP McDonalds is an absolute dick for doing this Avilo tried to get his point across while JP was sniggering in the background putting up a pic of Avilo to even more laugh at him.. brings him into the call then disrespectfully shuts him off like wdf im also done with this sorry excuse of a show.

And it's odd because that's not the kind of person you would think incontrol is. But it happens really often.
It's actually really annoying and I wish he'd cut it out, there's plenty of things I like about him, he can be funny and entertaining and he's a good caster, and he does do a lot of stuff for the community but I fucking hate when people patronise other people and act smug.

Idra is literally the biggest prom queen in the world and I would love to see him completely fade from e-sports. He gives e-sports a bad rep with how he treats other players. I had to shut off SotG with how disrespectful and disgusting he is as a person.
Avilo was completely respectful the entire conversation he was having despite the fact that Idra kept calling him fucking bad and an idiot. The worst part was when they just completely cut avilo from SotG while Idra was slandering him calling him trash and incontrol, JP and tyler all had banana grins. From a business perspective, if someone is looking to invest into e-sports and help it grow, this would be a major turn off. It's quite pathetic actually that a lot of the e-sports community supports this kind of immature, disgusting, sad behavior. Grow the fuck up Idra. Your opinion isn't the only one out there and it's not always right. Pull your head out of your ass
Good luck with growing e-sports in the US with players like this in the spotlight!

I basically wrote that while I understand Idra's bad manners, I would expect Incontrol to act in his capacity as captain and shut him down when it became clear that he was being overly mean-sprited and verging on bullying. Since he didn't, and essentially egged Idra on, I can only conclude that EG doesn't have a strong stance against bullying, so I won't be supporting them in the future.

I don't know about you guys but I'm much more disappointed at incontrol basically teaming up with idra and acting as his enabler, It's obvious Idra never wanted to talk to Avilo in the first place and he should not have been forced into the situation. JP should not have brought on Avilo.
But Incontrol your behavior is actually just fucking disgusting, I thought you were better than that.
This show proved a few things to me:
QXC is a smart guy and can debate well, Idra can debate well if he's not angry. JP listens to the stream chat when he shouldn't QXC and Nony are extremely respectful guys. Incontrol, despite how he acts like a nice guy at events he casts and hosts, can be a pretty big bully.

On June 29 2012 11:57 jmbthirteen wrote: You guys asked for Avilo, this is what you get.
The chat spams to call people all the time, they don't all get on the show. The hosts need to decide that.

I dont know Avilo. He was not very eloquent and did not get his point across well like QXC but the schoolyard behaviour of Idra was appalling. It even bordered on bullying at one point. disgusting.
That said the first debate was rationale and considering the usual immature banter was decent.

The passive aggression was kind of called for.
Avilo definitely wasn't the best at talking, making his points, or debating overall, but Incontrol and IdrA wasn't really doing good for their image either. Incontrol came of as a bully, and IdrA as a douchebag of big proportions.

Avilo selectivly took parts of Idra's argument and then made it seem as if Idra was agreeing with Avilo which was not correct,
how do you stop someone doing that and then not paying attention to you telling them that you're not fucking agreeing with them

Honestly that was quite embarrassing to watch. State of the Game should never be this kind of show. Disappointing.

Idra/incontrol/jp pretty much interrupts avilo mid sentences constantly while generally avilo lets him finish for the first half

Well I have to say that I'm not easily shocked, and I found this shocking. I don't really know Avilo tho, but that was just...really low. JP was in panic mode at that point. kind of silly you MrCon expecting him to follow some sort of trainwreck protocol as if you in the same situation would do the same thing (and don't tell me you would that's just a dick answer) he stopped the situation getting even worse and picked the lesser of 2 evils Wheat would have handled that like that ? What's your point? that's a silly comparison to make The comparison between 2 show hosts is silly to make ? Just reread your post and mine, you'll see why I made the comparison.
And Wheat hung up on come callers who were just saying random shit or insults, not on someone he invited to debate ? It seems you people are so used to sotg getting shit for the most trivial things made you also used to defend those things before you reflect on them.
Is this thread in some kind of collective hysteria, no one is making sense.

Because it's not like Idra is one of the most popular players in the game despite his BM and that has helped grow esports or anything. Not to mention I don't think he's at fault with how he acted, who the fuck would react well in that situation? I sure as hell wouldn't, I'd be pissed at my friends for putting me in it.
