I have a question (and I apologize if this has been already brought up), but why did InControl say to the stream (after many of us were complaining that there should be a Terran perspective on the show), that those who were complaining about that should, "break a leg of their chairs, shove it down their throats, and die?" Is it okay for him to say that since he is InControl? Since a LOT of the chat (a majority of comments some of the time) were asking for a Terran to be brought on the show, I would think that it was a reasonable request.
Not only is it imbalanced to not have a Terran player on when discussing balance, but IT CAN AFFECT BALANCE. Blizzard listens to the community (and by community, I mean the LOUDEST voices in the community), and having a show which averages one of the highest viewer counts out of any Twitch or Own3d channel has a tremendous effect on the community, and can potentially affect balance changes (and HAS affected nerfs and buffs). Artosis was wrong to suggest that scanning a Toss base in the late game would fix TvP. TvP complaints have to do with the strength of late game Protoss compositions and the fact that warp gates and chronoboost can remax a Protoss army within seconds while Terrans have to wait much longer (even with multiple barracks, factories, sps). IdrA's statement that PDD would fix TvZ late game did not take into affect infestor fungals (outranges Raven spells). InControl basically did not contribute any tangible argument (besides maybe that HSM was a magic solution to all late game problems) and was incredibly insulting to all Terrans watching the stream.

Instead you go out like an angry little kid who basically says "I call you guys out and dare you to bring me on as your terran perspective. You guys aren't really "state of the game" without a terran like I."
I would never pick anyone for any show who came to me like that. It's their show obviously and they get to decide what they want to do. They aren't forced to do anything. Trying to "call them out" on making them bring you on was a horrible idea and makes you look more like an asshole who was just begging to get some exposure.
If you had presented yourself much better to begin with they perhaps thought about it a little bit longer. Even if the answer was still no, then you should be the gentleman and finish with "I hope you guys have a great show". Instead of trying to insult the show and daring them to bring you on. I guess you don't understand that he's dedicated very much to the game and actually cares about the things that revolve around it. sotg has done absolutely nothing productive the last god knows how many episodes. There are some that actually wants to hear the balance of the game beneath the fun and all.
I guess you don't understand the term to be able to present yourself well either. It's all good to be dedicated but if the only way to show that is to be a complete jackass at the people running the show, you won't go very far. If someone would like to show their dedication, they can present themselves and if they get turned down, then so be it. Take the rejection like a gentleman and perhaps next time they need a terran perspective, they might pick you for being manner. If you keep on nagging them for being shit and their own show, you'll never make it on a fucking show.
I'm not a fan of Avilo but nor do I hate him either. It kind of seems obvious that you are a blind fan from your 7 posts in a row trying to hype him up. Thats really cool and all that you are trying to help promote him. I'm trying to help him too. It's called constructive critisism.
Presenting yourself is a great way to get your voice out there and in turn, your dedication of the game will be heard way more often. You don't have to be a goodie two shoes to be able to present yourself well either. Take Incontrol or Destiny as examples. They are able to talk shit and all that good stuff but they are able to present themselves very well as well.
Also, you must be new to "state of the game". It's not so much about the actual state of the game and not really anything is changing until HOTS is actually released. Until then people can discuss it all they want but it will be changed and it'll be completely uselesss to theory craft a game you can't actually play right now. If you want all that theorycraft bullshit,I'm sure theres plenty in the starcraft strategy forums for your hearts content.
Now stop being the fucking negative nancy and be actually happy that they decided to have a show. They can just say fuck it and not do anything. It's not like they get paid for this shit. I for one am happy that they did one and I enjoyed it.

That's why I personally watch the show. It's lame when they just say a few sentences about something and then just move on. It's a talk show after all... but I digress. whats the point? ENTERTAINMENT! The reason their aren't many shows out there like SotG is because of the chemistry the pillars have. Their relationships with each other go back years. No other show can really say that. the show is exactly what I said it was in my previous post, pillars talking starcraft and having fun. seeing it as something else isn't their fault. they still have great discussions and the show is still fucking hilarious. i don't give a shit about the balance talk, its the most boring part of the show usually. Not everyone watches the show for the same reasons. Excuse me for having an opinion on how I think the show could improve. you mean on how the show could change into something its not? I didn't say anything about why people watch the show. I said what the show is. The show hasn't been about balance in forever. The game was rather steadfast before, no? sc2 changes constantly. i don't think it has ever been steadfast. The show is about all things starcraft, including balance. There's no reason why they can't talk about these things while keeping it entertaining. They always spend lots of time going over most of the changes in the patch notes. They've always played a large roll in the show when a new patch is released. It's kind of a big deal in the starcraft world. I'm not really sure what you're trying to say here. people getting up in arms about the lack of a terran on SotG for balance discussions is stupid.

wtf. why has this non-sense been going on for a dozen pages now?
why don't you guys get riled up about the GESL? those guys that are our beloved hosts are the current generation, that will fade out as active players sooner or later. and then what? i see half hearted threads about growing your domestic scene, which usually end in the stupid question of banning koreans or not. how about really supporting the home grown initiatives? how about getting excited that over 20 sponsors could be raised for an event. how FUCKING BAD it is for our community to go ahead and ddos them? i mean, seriously, it barely could have gone worse. as a message to sponsors, to organizers, to grass roots initiatives. nobody was interested in WCS NA. well guess what, the quality of the NA scene won't get any higher when we present a nice little "FUCK YOU" every time somebody wants to start something new. it matters so much more than whether there's a terran on this show.

Just my humble opinion. Thank you for at least trying to get a terran on there, though. This exact same shit happened when 1-1-1 was raping every single Protoss and I didn't think the game was going to "fix itself" but now we can see it's not a huge deal. How about a few more weeks/months to give the patch more time to sink in? We saw Zergs try to bulldoze Roaches and more Roaches into Colossus/Void Rays/FF for a solid year before they figured out the Infestor is actually pretty good so it's not inconceivable that the "solution" is out there but just not being used.

Yeah the the Maps , Rax-buildtime , and Immortal Buff had nothing to do with it . It fixed itsself ..... The Maps played a HUGE point in 1-1-1 falling out of style.
On the smaller Maps 1-1-1 is still very viable .

Is it okay for him to say that since he is InControl?
Blizzard does listen to the community, but I highly doubt they would watch SOTG for balance issues. It's a very entertaining show and the players on there are good player, but.Blizzard wouldn't use that show as a staple of their balance concerns. So that is a very silly point to throw in there. I'm pretty sure Inside the Game has all 3 perspectives. If you really want that, then go there. I personally don't find it quite as fun/funny than this show though.
SOTG never really had a terran perspective throughtout the course of the show besides some guest here and there of course. Should they have? Probably but that really doesn't matter at this point I feel. They do the show when they have time and they do it for free. If people want to be all nit picky, then start donating for what you want to see or don't watch the show.
I've always enjoyed the show how it is and for what it is. It started out as just friends talking about shit and it's still just friends talking about shit. Thats how it should be. I don't think they should have to "feel" like they owe anyone anything.
