@Incontrol: Everyone on that show is more than qualified to discuss the terran race and all the others.. certainly more so than 99.99999999% of you so I don't think you need to worry about us falling short of your terran knowledge or something.
I do worry. If you do not play Terran, then you are doing nothing more than speculating. You play Terran v avilo's Protoss and then I'll be confident that you're talking with some knowledge about the Terran race.
@Pokebunny: I've never had any problem personally with avilo, I don't know where you got the idea that I hated him. He's a good person, good player with an interesting style but is just sometimes a bit misdirected in his opinions imo. I don't see where you see personal bias on my opinion.
I got the idea from the manager and a couple other members of the now defunct VT/Reign. Also from listening to you cast some of avilo's Playhem games. And btw, I've seen quite a few "high-level" Terrans reiterate avilo's complaints.

People wanting to have a Terran on for balance discussions is perfectly reasonable, there's really no need for the hosts to go 'Well this is the way it's always been so SHUT UP'. I think it would really add something, I'm not hating on the show, there's just always room for improvement.

LOL sotg hosts should just toss the word Terran in a box with extended series cuz it's quite obvious you can't even mention that other race without having your credibility under a microscope.

by your logic since you don't participate/run a show that is as successful as SOTG you cannot comment on it... infinite loop occurs but at the end of the day I am rid of you so I win.

Haha, that Avilo clip is gold! Just hilarious!

No, because as a viewer on the show you can comment on how it is to watch, you just can't comment on what it would be like to run or participate in it

JP needs to realize that his show has a huge impact on the community. Even if it is meant to be casual and relaxed and not 100% about sharp balace discussions the viewers will listen extra careful to comments related to balance and game design.
If you don't want this kind of drama you should take a step back and carefully avoid balance talk.
Should you chose to go down the current road you seriously need to get a regular Terran player on. Just do it. No discussion. Force ThorZain or demuslim to participate if you have to
As sad as it is, you have to admit that the discussions are biased in the sense that the Terran perspective is being neglected or trivialized badly to the point where I as a master terran feel that I could do better than them if I was on the show. Also, the foreign community is very stigmatized towards the Terran race for some reason. It is funny that most people accept the notion that Terran is very hard to play but can be extremely rewarding if mastered, while still having a negative view of the race based on things in the beta losing to mass marines.
It is not like this in South Korea, there people admire high level terrans for their skills. Maybe the foreign community's mentality is bad and a contributing factor to the Korean dominance.
I liked avilos efforts today because it stirred shit up which was very much needed imo. He could have gone about it in a much better way though as his tone was way to provocative. To people saying that avilo should not try to force his way on the show they need to understand that the frustration he expresses is well founded . He has multiple times being mentioned on the show in a condescending way. The image of him as a balance whiner who should l2p is completely wrong. Watch his stream for a couple of days and you will see that it is simply wrong. Sure he complains and whines sometimes, but most of it is to be interpreted as ventilation after frustrating losses. Besides that he delivers a very entertaining and educative stream, and at least he has the spine to back up his complaints by going off-race and owning people with the stuff he complains about. Once he played protoss and owned a GM terran so hard that he accused avilo (on a smurf account) for maphacking... Who would like to see idrA go off race and own face with Terran? I would at least Imo. avilo should be featured as of yesterday.
Out of the regulars on Sotg I think only idrA is a better player than avilo. I would like to see a bo7 between inControl and him though

why don't you guys get riled up about the GESL? those guys that are our beloved hosts are the current generation, that will fade out as active players sooner or later. and then what? i see half hearted threads about growing your domestic scene, which usually end in the stupid question of banning koreans or not. how about really supporting the home grown initiatives? how about getting excited that over 20 sponsors could be raised for an event. how FUCKING BAD it is for our community to go ahead and ddos them? i mean, seriously, it barely could have gone worse. as a message to sponsors, to organizers, to grass roots initiatives. nobody was interested in WCS NA. well guess what, the quality of the NA scene won't get any higher when we present a nice little "FUCK YOU" every time somebody wants to start something new. it matters so much more than whether there's a terran on this show.
It is strange how race balance discussion is bringing all out the heated arguments. You can debate that stuff anywhere. The doom and gloom in the NA scene and the GESL controversy are actually worthy of some fiery discussion.

The irony as I see is it as the members of SotG didn't even say anything ridiculous, yet everybody is up in arms over it. They basically said to wait and see. It's as if every complainer actually wants Incontrol/Idra to simply complain about balance.... what an entertaining discussion that would've been...

Btw, I never dodged your challenge. I also do believe I am a better player than you, as well as more qualified to talk about balance than you are. My WCS result over you already proves who is better, and I am willing to prove it again.
I challenge you to a bo5, my conditions are that I play as Protoss and you play as Terran for the entire series. We each put up $50.00, and we both must stream the entire bo5. MLG 2012 map pool from most recent MLG.

I watched the Show today, and I have been watching the show many times, and it has been a great show at times. But today I was pretty disappointed that the Zerg's recent buff's were not talked about and discussed more. I was really looking forward to some good logic and dialog between these people, but I felt really discouraged and actually sad at how the direction of the show was going today. I know it's not normal for the show to bring on someone outside of the show, but in this case, where no Terrans were present, I feel like it would be so good for the show to bring in a Terran, to kind of talk about what he felt about it.
But I guess we will have to see what will happen. I'm just really disappointed after today's show.

By "he" I assume that you mean me.
Your post is complete nonsense as it is pretty much one very long one-liner . Please elaborate and enlighten me.
What is it that I do not understand ?

yea... that will really show who is more skilled.... take your meds and go to bed dude... you're just making a fool of yourself.

Avilo, I dig your style man, and I'm not even kidding. But let them run their show the way they want to. Or at the very least give them enough time to prepare for you.

I have to agree with you here, It is indeed their show, and they can and will run it the way they want to. But after some of the comments today, I feel like they went out of line, and should take Avilo up on his offer. If he has something to say about this.
