If so, I'd honestly get behind a subscriber support model for this show (for muney) if it meant more stability. At least at that point I could describe the ongoing quality problems without being labelled an ingrate as the last few tens of pages have done to anyone offering up suggestions. I just feel that beyond all things the passive hostility of not updating the community on what the heck is going on after a crisis, with regards to scheduling, or the diablo episode, or anything in particularly is pretty emotionally taxing for all parties involved. SotG is one of the few things in the community with crossover appeal. My friends who are interested in Starcraft, but are not die hards literally are held into the hobby by the handful of things with that sort of appeal. They are the types the find Day9 too hokey and insincere, can't watch player streams without getting dizzy, and ladder less and less due to the stress of it. But they will stay connected to the tournament scene and the culture through things like SotG. When its going, it just has 'it'. You can pretend that something like this is entirely the works of those behind it, but there's also an organic component to it. The environment gives birth to the opportunity for stuff like this, just like how hollywood allows things like late night talk shows. And when the content is constantly in peril it will really affect the community, I can say that sincerely, I know it affects my social circles and its got to extend beyond that. I really really hope things pull through.

The worst SotG episodes still beat the best ItG episodes by far, though. nah man. the worst sotg episopdes are like...really bad. the old ones where geoff would harp on a dramatic subject for 20 minutes during the one episode tasteless was on, resulting in tasteless being unable to get a word in. Though mostly good, the worst of sotg were spine crackingly awful. The best ITG are pretty great, save the call-ins; fast paced and more sharply focused on topics. Still not the biggest fan of painuser, but that's neither here nor there xD I know all the sotg dudes are probably really busy, but it seems odd they can't get together for 2 hours every couple weeks. even without getting paid for it, there are tens of thousands of people who spend their time wanting to hear 4 sc2 personalities talk about the game; seems draw enough on its own, having a pedestal to shoot the shit on.

the new episodes are just him reading off his shitty little bullet points that he draws up 5 mins before each episode. The older episodes that are truly great (horse episode) have a lot less of JP trying to poorly lead a discussion, and a lot less of him talking in general. This is not a coincidence.

In a lot of ways, it usually "set the stage" for the entire week, you'd get an idea about rivalries, fun matchups coming up and would occasionally learn something. Now all they do is talk about tournament results. The way the show is now, I feel like JP could do it completely on his own, just read off bullets about who won and lost in what tournaments. It's pretty much a shittier SC2report, except that guy totally understands what his niche is. What is completely baffling to me is the way that everyone and their mother seems interested in helping SOTG ( I would even be willing to pay for it honestly) but the lack of regular episodes, the lack of communication, and in general the declining quality of the discussion has really hurt it. SOTG used to be the show to watch. It let you know what to watch, why to watch it, and why it was going to be important. It was really a cornerstone of the community. It just isn't anymore. I really hope that we see some more regularity from the show, and less little "exhibition" type events (like the sundance thing, or the recent lone star "SOTG"). A lot of the recent things produced have been excellent supporting content to SOTG, but without the actual show they just fall flat. I hope this doesn't come across as too critical, but the show is really something I love and I know it means a lot to the community. It would be a shame to see it waste away.

This is not a coincidence. i sense a ban coming. kind of rude man! also, the horse episode was the drinking episode/end of the year thing if im not mistaken, and it wasn't much about sc2--and people want that sc2 discussion. so i think you're kinda...dno....somethin not good.
