So amusing that people actually believe this.
Anyway, any one-dimensional topic with people agreeing unanimously is rather boring to listen to, it just comes down to hosts putting on rants. Unless there's someone from Blizzard as guest, there's really no reason to bring this up at all.
Did you see what just happened with Diablo3? Bunch of epic threads and all kinda of pissed off players, and Blizzard reversed course and full chat is back in.

SotG is clearly an effective soapbox. Artosis had no reason to begin a discussion about the treatment of casters on SotG other than to go on a rant, but he did (and even said he was going on a rant). Of course, he got Huk on later to provide an alternate perspective but SotG is not purely intended to highlight subjects on which there are two sides to the argument.
Simply put, Blizzard will listen more if it is on SotG, especially if all of them agree.
I don't see any reason why this could be a bad thing, it will only take ~3 minutes unless they drag it out, and could have an impact. Even if it doesn't, who cares? Those 3 minutes aren't your lifeblood.

I'd rather do something, than nothing at all. And Blizzard has said time and time again, if you have game feedback, take it to the forums. We did that, and they have yet to say anything on a maxed out thread + another thread (not to mention the sites in other regions) so now we are perusing other avenues... And why not try and get the heroes of our community involved? If the forums don't work that seems like an legitimate idea.

Oh come on, the UI is fine and doesn't bother at all most people. I am fine with it the way it is, and i'm not the only one.

No disrespect but how can you be fine with it when WC III and Bnet 1.0 in BW had so many more features than SC 2 (a game that took 12 years to make)? Because they have done it before it seems logical that it wouldn't be that hard to implement the same features in SC 2. I have yet to see one good reason why these features are bad additions to the game.
And by UI we are talking about chat channels, clans and clan support, in game tournies, replays with friends, custom map system rehaul. We are not talking about ingame UI

Judging by the amount of replies that thread and other ones on B.net forums have generated, you came to the conclusion it doesn't bother most people?
You've talked about Blizzard UI before, but its starting to become a serious movement. There is a public outcry for more features and if our voice is loud enough we can't be ignored.
Of course the voices of Day 9, Tyler, Artosis, Incontrol and JP would speak louder than most, so It would be very cool if you guys can talk about it again. We need you!
Seconded. They're probably prone to care less cause of their jobs, though.

I hope the new Independent move SotG made would allow them to be more objective and willing to talk about topics like these. I completely understand why there would be a conflict of interest for JP to bring this up.. But they talk balance all the time and the UI is just another part of the game people are dissatisfied about.

It could be better, everything could be better. I am not saying additions are bad, I am saying things aren't as bad as some of people make it sounds. If not for shared replays, I have never been in a situation where I told myself that the UI needed to be improved. If the UI is improved, okay fine with me, and if it's not, I honestly would not care at all. The way the UI is right now satisfies me just fine, and allows me to do what I want to do without any concern or issue (a part from shared replay). Can it be improved ? Absolutely yes ! Is it so bad that it justifies crying over it and calling it names ? Definitely not.
Edit : I mean, in the threads talking about it, I see people that are like profoundly offended by the UI. Litteraly. And it just annoys me to see overreactions like that.

If you look at each post no one is actually crying, and they aren't really calling Battle.Net bad names, what they are saying is exactly what you are saying here, namely it can be better, what they are asking is why Blizzard made Battle.Net 2.0 worse than Battle.Net 1.0 and if they will fix it or not.

Oh well my reaction is not an over reaction. I just want an improvement to my beloved SC 2
Im just frustrated and maybe you can see why:
The features have already been modeled in an older game, which implies that they should have been built in into this new game from launch.
Okay well that's okay because you can fix it right? Like add it back in as time allows you to right? We will be patient.
Blizzard has stated that they had intended on fixing these things but its been 2 years. Which is the real reason we are frustrated. They have taken too long to add what should have been in at launch.
So is it time for the community to motivate Blizzard into some changes? I hope so!
The map discussion made so much sense. There's only a couple of maps in each proleague/individual leagues, and it makes for much more entertaining games because players literally practice one map on one matchup for hours on end just to try to take out a Flash or a Jaedong in proleague, it makes for really nice storylines.
Also using the same maps just allows for better gameplays since players know intricacies of the maps. Just imagine it's game 5 of the OSL finals and one player loses because a Vulture sneaks into the back of a Zerg's base via a map feature and kills 5 drones or something. But then, think about how exciting if the Zerg player knows about that certain mineral glitching trick and kills the vulture before it is able to do any damage? (Skip to 4:46 if it doesn't automatically)
(btw Ignore Cholera's ignorance, Jaedong wouldn't have been able to trap/kill the Vulture without that drone there and everyone knows it) Having maps that the players practice on is essential for good games. I know my example is stretching it a little but it just sets the storyline so much better.

Isn't this basically how Fantasy won everything?
No actually I think he marine rushed JD in Proleague Finals.
