Or you can overdo it. It is silly to assume they don't follow the worldwide scenes to a sufficient extent- it's part of their job and I believe they are doing just fine. On the other hand it may be a wish from the community for them to speak more about their insight regarding EU. In no way are the hosts required to do so, and they are perfectly free to talk about things they see fit. But man, this whole "dumb forumers" is getting old. I couldn't care less if they didn't address it at all. Would I like them to talk more about anything SC related? Sure, that is why I tune in. I highly appreciate them sharing their thoughts on the game and the scene. Would it hurt to talk more about EU- certainly not. If they choose other topics that's fair enough, there is plenty to talk about.
I like the guys humor. More often then not, it's quite quality rhetoric and hilarious to listen to. But with every joke, one may get tired of it. Sarcasm may let you sound smart, but walks the fine line of predictability. I wouldn't have minded cutting the pokes in half and spend the time on other things. A more humble approach would be just to ignore it. Personally, I enjoy when they do share their experience and observations about more players. I doubt there are much people having a high-level oversight in Europe either. iNcontrol has been doing that and it's interesting for everyone.
I understand the need to release steam and having fun. It's an integral part of the success of the show and a opportunity for them to relax once a week. But sometimes it's quite hard to get to the point.

Not the greatest show, I was constantly unsure if incontrol was being sarcastic when he kept praising Europeans and pointing out how thoroughly they've been beating american players. But then in the end they started reminiscing about the good ol' days when the casters were winning competitive matches, so I guess it wasn't facetious at all. But I don't think he should get too down that Europe is so much ahead of America in skill. I mean, everyone is! And though they may have the worst players, they have the best fans. That's something!

Seriously man, you know pretty damn well that europeans are better than americans, you know that the european ladder is harder than the american ladder and just because some randoms were complaining because you didn't know some mediocre europeans you are now making jokes at the expense of an entire continent and it's population?
Sure, this might seem funny to you and other americans, but if you really think most of us don't take offense in that, breaking news, we do.
You get a big fuck you for that, you should be glad europeans don't make web shows where they make fun of americans all night (unlike you do -and let's be honest america gives the rest of the world enough reasons to make fun of them), I really don't think you realize how counter-productive stuff like this. We want to help and support eachother in the foreign scene, all you do is spread hate, show some respec and grow up. I couldn't hear you over the clatter of your wooden shoes.. what did you say? Seriously what did we do to you to deserve this hate? You are making fun of europeans all the time and I really don't understand why, we are actually all nice people and we DON'T ever publicly make fun of americans, or show me a post or video or news report or anything like that where europeans are making fun of americans, you on the other hand make fun of an entire continent and all the people who live there, don't you think you are being unreasonable there? you call it humor, but for some people you are crossing a line, when you make racist jokes (and making fun of an entire continent is racism) you certainly are crossing this line. He's making fun of people like you who can't take a joke and jump on every opportunity to be offended

Just saw the latest episode.
Why do people bash Incontrol so much?
Most of the time he is the most level headed of the crew, he makes it clear(but it seems ts not clear enough) when he is joking and is amongst the more outspoken member of the pillars(remember how awkward were those shows without incontrol?)
Seriously, jeez some people. JP was kinda funny this episode but I don't think it was intentional this time, maybe I am wrong. BW part was mehish I thought it would be much better but it was not bad anyways

Hm.. dunno, i liked some jokes. The craftcup eu comment from artosis was hilarious for example. During the MLG predictions I would have liked to just hear their normal opinions tho. The euro comments there just dragged on...

Did Artosis not know that Sage qualified for Code A? Was he joking?

He needs to be careful. He was saying some borderline crazy shit with the "Oh yeah, GOM gave him a spot because they want to see more Protoss" which is 100% in accurate, and probably going to make other T/Z very very unhappy.
I'm always so surprised when Artosis does not know what's going on in the GSL - lol. Especially for someone he is willing to call a Top 5 player in the world - Sage.

And just FIY to Incontrol and Artosis, the EU weekly tournaments actually have a lot of Koreans in them and are probably harder to win than IPL2 and MLG Global invitational was/is.

Just watched the episode, and I really loved the end. The BW talk really came flooding out, it seemed almost a relief for all of them to talk about it. I caught only the brief tail end of BW without Sc2, but I understand what they mean, and it was great to hear.
I don't think they really took the EU comments seriously though, which is a little sad. It's not about watching every random weekly cup, but just looking over Mikilatov's awesome tournament round-ups would really give them a good idea of which players to find some replays of, and which players to watch once in a while. Tyler was very conciliatory about LucifroN, he was absolutely right, Luci got rolled, but he was gracious enough to admit that it probably wasn't his best play. And it's completely true, LucifroN's current form is amazing. Stephano, Nerchio, and the others too. Just knowing who's been tearing through the weekly cups would be an asset for the show, I think.

I'm EU and I'm not really bothered that they don't talk about EU. No point forcing it because lets be honest there's so many other big events/practice/casting to watch/do why would they watch small tourneys?
It saddens me though because Nerchio/Stephano/Mana/Dimaga/Socke are probably better than any American with the exception of Huk.

These people don't have any other platform in which to discuss there annoyances, its hardly fair to bash something on a show like sotg when the people you are bashing have no way in which to retaliate other than a forum post.
Also you said in the show that the majority of listeners are from the US, by what margin as i bet its close, in all honesty i thought the reverse would of been true... however i could be and probably am completely wrong. Anyway, I love the show just drop the EU bashing it stopped being funny months ago.
well said!

They talk a lot about Socke/Mana, for the others, that's kinda their fault for not participating to a lot of big tournaments. Stephano is the best example, everyone is saying he is so great but you rarely have the chance to see him play. Can't really blame sotg for that.

agree. the craft cup comment was simply genius, some other comments were great as well. but anything else was just not funny and over the top.
anyways - good episode, liked to learn something about the BW past.

didn't he destroyed everybody in the IGN qualifier though?
