And to be frank they catch alot of shit for saying anything at all about european players or denizens. And to the point of europeans not making fun of americans... I dont know how shit goes down in austria but in sweden that does happen. But as with incontrol and the rest of the sotg guys it is not meant to cause harm or be disrespectful. I think people complain because there were too many eu trolling jokes without, you know, any reason. When someone's there from Europe and you guys troll each other that's fine, or when Europeans destroy an event with lots of americans in it, it's also ok to make sarcastic jokes or like a recent statement from X player celebrity how EU>>> US. Or really if there's anything you can put your finger on, that's because they are making those jokes, not because they are being douchebags. Btw i'm not offended at all, and i know they are only jokes, and would love some Eu vs US trolling session with a standup Eropean guy on Sotg, but i get why some people get offended or think it's uncalled for. | ||

I'm not sure where you're from, but I know Germany has a fairly mature standup scene. Japanese culture has manzai, which is very similar to an old fashioned American double act. | ||

Yeah, but trolling for no real reason is silly and nonsensical. Trolling 'with intent' is petty and malicious. I mean, I always feel bad when a guy like Destiny or IdrA gets trollled ... because you know there is actually a segment of the population that genuinely hate their guts. | ||

People should just grow some skin and turn their hilarity/irony/sarcasm/tongue in cheek/whatever detectors on and stop acting like children (well, many probably are...). Btw: Even if you don't think it's funny you should be able to "detect" that something was ment to be funny... | ||

Let me just say this, I know it's not easy for you to "not offend" people because you are a very active person in the starcraft 2 community, but just bear in mind that some of us take offense if you make fun of them (even if it's not personally). See, I wouldn't have said anything if you just bring this joke up like 3 or 4 times, but it really didn't stop, yes it was funny the first time you said it, but then it got annoying and after a while I actually felt really offended because the fact that you didn't stop really made it seem like you had a problem with europeans. And again, I don't know you, most of us don't, so whenever you say something people will be over-critical and sometimes they will misunderstand you. But then again, I don't understand why you couldn't just respond to my first post in a nicer way, see I'm a fan of yours and I was confused and offended (because you didn't stop with the "jokes"), if you just say "look I was really just kidding, love you all", then it's all good, we love you too. | ||

Yet i've seen several clips on youtube from italian TV shows guys pull down actresses dresses or shows filled with scantly clad girls just for fun. | ||

People on the internet insult and joke every time you fail then watch the thread grow and fuel it, hoping for it to bother you and it does.... you buy it.How? How is that possible? A personal attack against you is not nice, likewise constantly goading a response by insulting a continent of starcraft fans is not a nice thing to do. You state you dont like it, then you do it yourself. Im just thinking that the european joke has worn abit thin now and if you do want to come to some of the really good european events do you expect to be cheered and supported by the european people while you are here? | ||
