No one is perfect, but Chill certainly provides a level of insight about TL that goes above and beyond what Banlings can. That can be very useful depending on the topics at hand.

IMO forget Chill and get a Terran user on to have an actual discussion of the heavy impact of the patch. That and a zerg so it's not all Protoss. Day9 was theoretically supposed to be the person to anchor the two Protoss pillars by being Random, but he seems to be Zerg favored, and frequently absent. So yeah, variety of both races and opinions is more important than a TL guy IMO.

Same with the scout, or a valkyrie.. Useful in some situations. Blizzard already said that as long as a unit will be used in 1/100 games, it's fine.
The issue isn't that, really. It's that not only is the reaper in any real sense nullified (impossible to use more than one or two), so is a standard fast reactor hellion, and so the lack of options is what really is painful. The scout was there WITH the corsair, the Valkyrie was there WITH the goliath, and the medic marine. It's not like the reaper where there is no real replacement.

There are thousands of nerds in the SC2 strategy forum who memorize every unit stat who still make idiotic threads like "Why Is Protoss The Worst Race?" every single time a Protoss loses in a tournament game. So i dont hold against Chill's integrity the fact that he doesnt spend all his time memorizing stats for a game thats a couple months old and still being patched. There are many many people spending all of their time worrying and crying and memorizing SC2 stats who still blow at their approach to understanding this game. I hate to be mean but the proof is in the SC2 strategy section. So i dont think Chill needs to be an encyclopedia of SC2 stats to be on the show and add to the glory.
Ive loved every single SotG and every guest except for that dude who tried to be funny by making the "whos Artosis" joke and Slasher. Im not insulting them as people or anything but i just didnt think they added anything to the show. Incontrol is great, Djwheat was great, Artosis is always great, and im sure Chill would be great. I sometimes wonder if people dont like Chill because hes not afraid to take a dump on the things people say in a brutally honest way. But i actually prefer his personality because he is an optimist with a positive outlook, but he also is smart enough to know that shit is doomed to mediocrity most of the time. He may dump on peoples posts etc but im sure hed rather live in a world where he didnt have to.

Chill has made a bunch of errors, yes I've noticed too. However, that doesn't completely negate the rest of his knowledge.
A lot of people make errors like that. Incontrol and Artosis said Marauders only had 5 range just before the range 4 Roach change... kind of ironic they don't know more about the Marauder when they bash it so hard. Yet are they still awesome and do they hopefully know a Marauder has 6 range now? Yes. Do I want to keep listening to them on the podcast? Oh, yes.
