Wasn't expecting this much negativity about tonights show, it has been pretty good so far IMO. A couple meh segments but...eh.
Seems to be holding up as far as viewers, at least.

More mellow, but personally I don't think we need every SOTG to be abrasive and loud, this mellow sort of conversational style works very well too. Plus, we get to rotate around to each one of these guys (I pay attention to Artosis and Tyler, only).

If there was any complaint I could list, it would be that Leah and JP are terrible people to ask about the 'State of the Game'. JP is fine because he was the host, and it was ok when Geoff and Day9 filled in most of the time, but now that there's only 2 people qualified to talk about the SOTG, it's a little bit slow.

What hasn't been clarified (to my knowledge) is if Leah is permanent....she's been on the past couple but isn't listed as a pillar, and I believe last week was introduced as a guest. I'm half thinking Leah is a Day9 replacement but I agree, we don't need 2 amateur people, however involved with the operations side of things, to be in the cast.

Except it's a short choppy mutilated conversation courtesy of JP.

Gotta let the conversations flow in naturally, not just force it with awkward/obvious questions which yield little to no discussion.

don't get me wrong, I like hearing the answers but if they want to keep this up they should just relabel the podcast as "Q&A With JP".

The problem is just that JP isn't that engaging of a host. I appreciate everything he's done for SC2 and he's definitely better than before, but he's still very awkward and doesn't really bring up topics in a very enjoyable way, or in a way that creates a conversation that the others WANT to participate in. Take a look at DJWheat: his cohosts always want to have a conversation because DJWheat brings up topics in an open-ended way and continues the conversation even when someone is done talking. The way JP does it is that he asks someone a question, they answer it, then he gives that question to the next person without any sort of continuation or adding anything of value to it.

Don't know if that made any sense.

stalkers are pretty good against zerg. I dont see how you can now want them to be adjusted. Movability is a major playing in high level fighting and blink gives that utility to pull back a low hp unit and extend your dps. I think that some targeted nerfs to that situation (where blink micro is highly abusable might be needed. Its often hard to get enough lings to stop stalkers and if you go all in on that approach blink can still stall while you fix the problem with good unit mix. Its really strong use of individual unit blinking that has bothered me about stalkers vs zerg.

If you're going to turn SOTG into Q&A with JP it'd probably be smart to give the list of questions to the guests on the show before you go live that way there's time to think about the answers before they start speaking. :|
