Leah works as a video game journalist, writing a lot of esports related articles. Her opinions are valued higher than random forum jobber #1. EDIT: I mean no offense to anyone when I say this but let's be serious for a moment: If the TeamLiquid writers were featured on SOTG would anybody really give a shit about what they say? Like when Kennigit and Hot_Bid are on? They're not writers, they run the site but their input on non-TL related stuff is still asked for. I'm pretty sure there's no big out cry that Leah was on without being ultra pro at SC. She writes about Starcraft for a big website.

Not at all, I listened to the show twice and haven't heard Sheth talk about balance at all oO Anyway, in my 2nd listening I catch that Artosis doesn't know which matchup is DRG's best. HAHAHAHAH, what a noob xD And no other guest knnew about that either. It's always interesting to hear (in this sotg or past ones, or other shows) how most of casters/professional players are disconnected from the scene. Most don't watch the games, don't really know the players (except perhaps d9). I can understand this from a caster pov, but as a player, there a so much to learn watching GSL that it always surprises me that tyler, for instance, never seem to watch the game (I know he has other things to do and can't dedicate 4 hours a day to watch starcraft, but still, TL is a good viewer's digest) They just don't watch what they're not involved into.

I assume that means that you know then? I assumed it was ZvT, but I don't think we've seen enough games from DRG to be able to confirm which match-up he is most competent in.

There was that one interview from him where he ranked his matchups as T>Z>P, though the Z and P seemed to have switched places from maybe two months ago to the date of the interview.

[/QUOTE] Even if the second statement is correct, I don't think her opinions are valued enough to take up time on the show. Besides, from what I can tell, she works at G4 because of her writing ability. She doesn't have any special knowledge of the game or the scene. The articles are just about reporting information from first hand sources. SOTG is about expressing opinions.

Yeah it's kind of sad artosis didn't know drg's best matchup. The reason he doesn't know is because he's only ever casted drg in the lg finals. Wolf has casted 100% of drg's gstl games.

And/or esports Ironically, being on SOTG is the only reason anybody has ever heard of her and the only thing that would make anyone consider her an "esports personality." So being on SOTG is what makes her qualified to be on SOTG is essentially what you're saying. Either way, I like my esports personalities to have insightful things to say. That's why I wouldn't want someone like AskJoshy on the show either.

I think Leah was on the show because she's a member of the media/press that has been to many tournaments and events, and was in a position to give a unique perspective of the NASL. Sheesh.
