As much as I like Incontrol, I think this can also be a huge chance for State of the Game.
People are always so scared of change that they don't see what may develop out of it.
Just wait and see , this is certainly not the end of the world.

Too bad he is leaving the show but the explication with no time etc i feel is garbage as even if he had very little time he could do what day9 is doing and come only when he has time , so i dont think that stands. Also if it s a thing that promoted incontrol to his current position it s sotg for sure , he s kind of a diamond-a-dozen progamer tbh .I will miss his humor but he has some bad moments too so i hope jp will in the future rotate all the people (especialy Tyler) and maybe more terrans

THE SHOW MUST GO ON!!!!

So sad that Geoff is leaving, I think he has been a treamendously positive influence for the Starcraft community. I love his rants and the depth of thought he puts into things. He will certainly be missed at SOTG but I am sure the will do well. I hope it is able to rebound a put up a three hour show again sooner or later, it has seemed quite rushed recently but they are all obviously becoming increasingly busy. I hope he is still able to be so accessible to the community. GG

Was kind of a lame SOTG, I don't think 4 players of one race works very well.

By the way I am really interested, what are these maps that are favouring Zerg?

Wow.. this show made me rly sad. State of the game will be on hold after next week and Incontrol is leaving. That combined is even worth 2 sad faces - Will miss you for sure Incontrol! State of the game was just the perfect show for you imo.

I think some people have the right idea. Even though inControl leaving is a sad moment, Day[9] should be returning, without the stress of graduating, fresh from Korea; especially after the hiatus. With JP, Tyler, and Day[9], does a fourth 'pillar' need to be added? I think adding one or two weekly guests could fill the show nicely.

Hopefully inControl, and Idra can both be guests every once in a while, because I think State of the Game's strength comes from the different guests they have each week, which adds different viewpoints.

"Inside the game" and "state of the game" is kinda the same show and atleast I was expecting this to happen. They are even on the same day and with two of the same guys.

Im abit sad though that it had to come down to this. When EG decided to make "inside the game" they prolly allready knew it was gonna come to this. I understand that geoff has limited time and has to stay with his sponsors in "inside the game", but that show is not even close to has entertaining as "state of the game" and in the end this kinda sucks for the viewers.

The vocal minority always trashes on you incontrol and it sadly always seems to get to you.

As person of the silent majority, I would just like to say, I appreciated everything you have done for SOTG and I'm sad to see you leave. The show will never be the same. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

After listening to the show again I have to say that Tyler and Geoff really sum up my feelings about the Zerg race ... especially since there havent been changes to the starting units and Spanishiwa / NesTea have shown that you can do something other than a "ling expo into roach-whatever" and Sheth (and Day9) demonstrates that you dont need to see everything to know what the opponent is doing.

An apology by certain rather outspoken individuals who have claimed to have "tried everything" might be a good thing right now especially after people have told "the Zerg" to play differently. Maybe next time on SotG ... but thats Geoffs call to put on the agenda or not.

Not a particularly good episode, I did however find the debate about Zerg being overpowered hilarious as I wasn't sure if they were trolling or not, especially when Naniwa's evidence was Inca losing 0-4 to NesTea not taking into account Inca's builds were awful.

I also found the "Zerg needs to micro" somewhat amusing when they go out and about with their 40 or odd forcefields preventing micro.

HuK's arrogance is nothing new, so I'm surprised about people commentating that it's something unheard of.

It will depend on future guests whether I will watch it again, although I did listen to the very early ones without Geoff, I think his part in SotG was critical. But I will be of course watching Inside the Game.

They didn't say Zerg was overpowered... they are laughing at all the zerg crying for months and how they doing better now by changing their game style.

Wonder what Idra would have said if he was on the show lol. It's kinda sad to see Incontrol leave but hopefully they will get someone else who is entertaining on the show.

Also, Naniwa shouldn't bring that fish in a can thing to MLG because I'm not sure the venue will have sufficient ventilation and it's not fun for the players or the spectators

yeah it was more venting I think HuK even said that he did it because zergs had been doing it for months ^^. Not sure though so if thats wrong correct me on that :D.

incontrol also added that it swings around all the time so first protoss is strong then they get figured out by zerg and suddenly they are strong. Somehow people always focus on the 'balance whine' and leave out these way more important parts they are saying.

anyway gonna miss you incontrol you've always been an awesome player and awesome pillar for sotg!

I love how they're talking about current zerg dominance... What zerg dominance?

+ Show Spoiler +
Am I the only person who sees 4 Protoss in the Ro4 StarsWar Killer 6?

Or no zerg presence in the Ro8 TSL?

Is EG trying to kill of SotG while promoting ITG? That's what I heard on reddit. Doesn't make sense to me that inc would leave sotg (which gave him his popularity be enlarge, has a bunch of his friends on) while at the same time staying on the relatively new itg . I don't wanna tinfoil hat too hard, but scoots is both the producer of itg and incontrol's manager.

In any case, it's sad. .

That's all based on speculation, Reddit's kind of the place where little things get blown way out of proportion.
