Yes. Very Yes. Just like soccer players or tennis players should look good (or at least make an effort).

The gamer community does not care how someone looks like only how he plays and what he says. Someone who cares about that shit is not a real gamer thus deserves not to play the game and is irrelevant for the community. Instead of everyone dressing like a clown and faking to look in a way that is expected from them people should realize what they are and stand to it and not pretend.

And that's all I'm asking of. I feel it's bad enough that the gaming industry has been so overwhelmed by casuals which makes game developers make easy, understimulating games for people who does not want to compete or challenge themselves in any way. The less integrated the gaming industry is with real life, the more I appreciate it.

One of the things I've always enjoyed with this community is that when the entire "normal" world is filled to no ends with people caring way too much about appearance and similar arbitrary attributes, the gaming community is about learning, training, improving and finally advancing. It isn't about do we need Pros to look presentable for Esports to go mainstream, in which the answer is excruciatingly obvious, its about if we need Esports to go mainstream. idk. It seemed to work well in Korea.

I think you are missing the point. We are trying to grow esports and SC2. People who are at the top of competition are the ones most likely to get seen. If all of our top competitors look disheveled and unhealthy nobody will accept them OR their sport on a wider scale. Saying someone who cares about looks is irrelevant to the community is ridiculous. take care of yourselves people!
