It's pretty scary to see people respond "everybody should have a body of this and that and look a certain way in order to be accepted". Or that fat people and ugly people are disgusting and should not be televised in pro gamer or put a bad face on pro gaming. This type of mindset is extremely dangerous and poisneous to any society and community. I think its the worst thing to have this thought process invade a community that the foundation of its existence is for the "social outcast" or people who stray from "the norm". Because honestly in society people who play video games like us arent considered "normal". So its "unfair" that people who are too lazy to take care of the hygiene or weight or health issues are looked down upon? Deal with it, and put some effort into improving yourself.

there is no reason to "look down" on someone for anything at all..whether its physical appereance or financial status..these are poisenous thoughts..its a vicious cycle that doesnt help anyone in the end..i personally have friends who are a bit overweight or have acne or w.e..but i dont look down at them..they are amazing people...these thought processes is just people compensating for there own lack of self esteem or they are just completly egocentric

Being a professional gamer somewhat makes you an ambassadeur of e-Sports, and that includes media exposure. If people watch you wearing what you would normally would wear on a sunday afternoon after a week of drinking, looking as you haven't showered in at least a week - the outside man will just think "Uhh... Sweaty nerds, great" and switch the channel. Of course, you should not have to go all-out Fendi-backslick-brat, but tidy up. There are plenty of good examples in the community who have gotten the point; take Stermy from the Quake scene for example.

And yes, I personally think that you should have enough self respect to take care of yourself but as I outlined in my original post that's a personal belief and I wouldn't knock you for not.
