SC2gears
-much higher level of detail and analysis of replays. Including the ability to create your own queeries of what data to display. Also provides a more visual (less texted based) display of data, including graphs, and a map view showing building placement throughout the map.
- Allows you to compare stats of multiple replays and against various opponents.
- Can auto save and rename your replays for you.
SCmanager
- allows you to load custom AI
- allows you to create games for campaign, player vs ai, and custom games
- allows easy region swapping (So you can play on both EU and NA for example. Useful if you have accounts on multiple regions.)
Very different tools with different purposes. If you want analysis go with sc2gears imo. For all other uses sc2manager is the right choice. Or get both.
