Held off his 4 gate with early robo and took my natural expansion way before him, killing a few warp ins of his units in the process. I scout him regularly, make sure I'm privy to all his shenanigans. Take my third. I want to attack and kill him with my larger army and econ, but his positioning on his ramp is too good. So I wait until i hit max, 3/3, make sure that I have 4th and 5th bases to fall back on and push up his ramp. I murder his army. He only had 4 colossus, I had 7 and 2 more upgrades than him etc etc. It was awesome. I rolled him. So i started to dismantle his base. Then I get pings in my natural that my probes are under attack... DTs... "Dammit I thought, stupid desperation DTs...". I had ob speed and 3 obs out on the map, so I warped in at my main and rallied an obs over there, no big deal right? Well... in my haste I failed to notice that Mr. Gosu himself had been floating so many resources that when he finally macroed, he was able to drop 4 DTs into my natural, and warp in another 5 or 6... PROTIP: 11+ dts will kill A LOT OF SHIT, even with detection. THEN HE GG's... And nothing happens. I GG in return. Afterall, his base is only a husk now, sure he took out my natural, but I have another 30-40 probes EASY and he doesn't have anything but those DTs. Game over... right? As I continue my nonchalant destruction of his main, I accidentally snipe my own obs with a flub of my hotkeys... DERP. No big deal, he just GG'ed, games over, I'll just kill him. I took a drink of water, cracked my knuckles, thought about my next ladder game and what race I might play (ihad only played T's and P's so far). It was at this point that I stopped caring, a moved my army towards his tech grouping and relaxed. OH WAIT, THERE SEEMS TO BE A SHITLOAD OF DTS IN MY ARMY... He had warped in a huge number of dts in his natural with his remaining gates and sent them to kill me, RIGHT as I sniped my own observer... I kite as well as I can, but he is tearing me up. I manage to blink out with my stalkers and cliff walk my colossus out, but I'm hurt badly. But so is he, or so I thought. He had managed to hide a large number of probes and rebuilt his natural kept mining as I was pushed away. It was right around this time that I fully appreciated the damage done to my natural. there were still 2 dts in my base going happily to town, which I cleaned up, but he had taken out too many of my pylons for me to remacro my army, and had killed my templer tech/twilight,and my robo's and robo bay, as well as the fleet beacon and stargate I had thrown down ust in case. So I fell back and tried to rebuild my infrastructure. It had been about 4 minutes since I moved up his ramp at this point. Then he simultaneously DT dropped my 4th and 5th bases and took out half my probes. Sicne he was floating so many minerals, his warp ins were all Zealots with a few dts, and his chargelot dt was owning my ragtag blink stalker colossus army. After he dropped me, he caught me out of position and sniped my colossus with his dts and killed off all my stalkers. It was a mess. I shouldn't be worried. I should be done. I should have won by now. Whatever. I will just kill him. I had a warp prism floating around from earlier harrassing and used it to drop archons and chargelots of my own in his main, tryingto finish off the tech thtat I wasn't able to kill with my main force so many horrible minutes previously. I had made the grave mistake of assuming that my opponent was low on minerals. I grossly underestimated the lack of macro he had had when he was alive, his economy was now back in full force, he had 3 saturated bases... FML. I'll kill him anyway. I drop his main, I still have superior upgrades, detection, I should be fine. Nope, here comes a preposterously large DT force. He kills my drop, I try to hold off but as I lift my archons into my WP and leave to defend some more, he DT drops my main probe force AGAIN. With SO MANY DTs. I had <10 probes, a warp prism, 2 archons, 1 ht with storm and a group of zealots warping in. I stopped assuming what he had at this point since I was so wrong the whole time. So I decided to ask him: "Did you just type out to see if you could get me to accidentally leave the game or something?" to which he responds: "Yeah, pretty much." As he walks into my last hold out with a dozen chargelots and a handful of DTs and drops another few in my mineral line, I tell him that I find it rather impressive that he managed to win a game BECAUSE he bmed... F M L I made so many mistakes, that were all on me, I played ACT 2 of that game so terribly. But FML that gg threw me off. It felt like parking your car on a hill, pullking the e brake and getting out onlly to find that it slipped out and your car is rolling down the hill, over a curb and into a stream. That is my FML story. It still gets me all worked up haha. Oh well, no mercy next time anyone gg's me, whether they actually mean it or not. No mercy until I see an army value graph. gg | ||

Everytime I watch the replay I have like 96 gas when i click my tech lab to research, and I do it quickly (cuz im so pro) and then go do other stuff and so i just get boned. | ||

My 2 rax 2 gas into Factory & Starport follow-up encounters a Thor Rush. As I micro my ass off, I start researching siege mode (right about when the Thor arrives). So I take out the first Thor losing a few scvs and think "I can do this." Then another Thor shows up with more scvs on auto repair. "okay no problem, couple shots from the tank and the scvs will all be dead..." I go to siege my tank and there's no siege mode....I look at the tech lab and siege never even started....oh the times where I've hit the right key, but the key didn't hit.....doh | ||
