it basically was similar to TLPD. i remember it being very minimalistic in design, at the same time being really informative. edit: it's not one of these: http://www.sc2ranks.com/ http://starcraftrankings.com/ http://www.gosugamers.net/starcraft2/rankings http://www.sc2charts.net/en/start http://sc2ratings.com/ edit2: thx to dsjoerg: http://aligulac.com/

As such, I'm open to suggestions for what people would like to see.

Data would be ported over so nothing would be lost. I expect the achievement ranking portion would be dropped to focus purely on league rankings. Main plans are going to be to improve stats as well as redo the API and open up the ability to see things like replays from more sources. As such, I'm open to suggestions for what people would like to see. Don't drop achievements! :O Can SC2Ranks conceivably display approximate MMR?

Maybe it is possible to get the average spending skill over all replays that have been uploaded?

Unfortunately you can't really approximate MMR based off points. graNite: Interesting idea, I'll have to talk to the people who provide replays, because ultimately it's their data so they have to agree to it.

Drop previous season info and only store the last season, graphs will always show the entire history across seasons, but you only will get direct point info on the seasons page for the current/last seasons. Drop the achievement handling pages. I'll keep the ranking page for achievement points, but will no longer provide pages such as http://sc2ranks.com/eu/1311033/nemrod/a/ Drop the map pages, meaning http://sc2ranks.com/map/am and http://sc2ranks.com/map/10/high-orbit Real custom division support that allows you to manage your division without needing to contact me if you forget a password, as well as more control over the pages that are shown Improved replay and VOD handling, allow the creation of generic players, such as DeMusliMRC that you can then see any profiles they have on different regions, vods or replays Full clan tag support allowing you to easily view people who have an associated clan tag Stats! This is something I'm asked about semi often. For people who want stats for their own analytics purposes, I'll start providing them from people who request it. Stats will be fully anonymized (no names, no ids, and points are rounded to the nearest 10), but can be used for people who want to do their own analytic work off the database that SC2Ranks has. Right now, I'm looking at only giving team data (region/points/wins/losses/comp/league) out, if you have requests, let me know and I will consider it. API improvements to make it a cleaner API and easier for people to use. It will also start to get real limits to make it fair to everyone. The reason the maps and achievement pages are to be dropped is they aren't popular (they make up <1% of SC2Ranks visits) and they cost a bit of resources. Focusing on just rankings which is what 99% of people care about let's me focus on improving performance and speeding up updates for what people care about. Since this is a full ground up rewrite, and I have to deal with converting the existing data format to the new one, I expect this will take a few months. Suggestions are still welcome as nothing is set in stone.

I'm guessing you're not in the top 1k of 4m+ ppl ^^ Only thing that sucks is that I would like the mouse recorder cheaters removed... Explanation of mouse recorder cheaters: People who auto join games using software until mmr is so low they're matched with other people who do same thing. Then win 50% of the games depending on who loses the time out lottery. Just to make it perfectly clear. I care more about achieves than perfecting my play with one race and maximizing my ladder ranking ^^ I got 757 wins in coop vs ai to prove it =)

I think more people have mistaken achievement rankings for global rankings than people have used global achievement rankings. this plus the fact that achievements are in no way an indicator of skill. mostly an indicator of commitment lol.

I think the design is great and can't offer any ideas you haven't already mentioned. Certainly no harm is done by dropping useless parts of it no one looks for (how often maps are played etc). My only complaint is that sometimes it doesn't work right, and it rarely shows all of my rankings on my profile page. I'm in WoL GM (hardly an achievement these days I know) but it never shows on my profile, but if you look up the WoL GM list I'm in there. My R3v3 ranking is also not listed. In fact if I look up the R3v3 listings there's only one person in all of the rankings! But if I click on his division name, there are 90 or so people listed there. Where does sc2ranks pull data from? If I upload replays (or do something else) is it more likely to track my info better?

SC2Ranks pulls data from battle.net, but due to a mix of season changes and expansions, it's handling of both might not be perfect. That's one of the things I'm going to be doing with the rewrite is making it more solid and handle those better. So if you're getting issues because of that, that's something I would like to have resolved.

Sync and Async calls plus its own caching. I use it to calculate stats for my clan: http://www.hwc-clan.com/sc2-stats/
