You can try the Profile Finder, due to Battle Net changes, you won't be able to find a character by code all the time (despite them being in the database). Nick and ID are valid, because it's my Nick / ID. Using Profile Finder: This happens all the time, no matter who i am trying to look up. Nicks and IDs are all valid. Anybody else got that problem?
While the name and character code might be valid, SC2R doesn't know that. Blizzard doesn't provide it anymore, so while I have the info for ~1 million players, I don't have it for everyone.
What are you searching with in the profile finder? I can find myself http://sc2ranks.com/us/738095/Shadowed by entering 'Shadowed' and 1v1 division name of 'dugalle eta'

Thanks Shadowed, that helped a lot.
|
Blizz isn't providing you anymore? Seems lilke they are setting up their own site pr they make it even in-game..

Could someone clarify what the World and Region ranks listed at the *top* of the profile are, as opposed to your individual World and Region ranks for your league placings? The ones that are "of 2,466,354" (for world) and "of 932,942" (for NA region), for instance.
I understand that the league ranks are where you're placed in terms of ladder points in that league, but the top ones confuse me.

The ones on the top are achievement ranks, they have the achievement shield next to them.
|
Ah, thanks for the clarification. Kind of obvious on hindsight now.

You should remove the case sensitivity on the search bar. It makes it very hard to find players that you don't personally know (because of random upper and lower case letters).
Otherwise, the website is perfect, great job on it! (it's now part of my daily internet routine!)

If so, you could predict your chance of getting each matchup based on your vetoes, using your map stats data. All you need are separate lists map stats for each race, which you currently aren't displaying right now. But I'm guessing it would be easy for you to do. I could probably put something like this together for the top200, but that would require scraping the map stats data for each player, since I don't see a way to get it through your API. Edit: It seems matchmaker picks player first, and map second. So votes should have no impact. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=185354
so you usually play on maps u voted down?

hi shadowed,
as so many zergs are complaining about an absurd percentage of mirrorgames in their daily ladder games (see recent poll in sc2 general forums), i wonder if it is techinal possible to track all the matchups played and see the total numbers how often which matchup is played ? this could stop the QQing OR we really have to wonder why this is the case (in the mentioned thread so many zergs complained about mirrormatches and many p/t said they barely get any z's in ladder)
thanks
ok, nvm, i should have read the last 2 pages before posting u said it is not possible to track, which race u played against .. what about just asuming that everyone is playing his main race all the time ? i know this is not always the case, but for sure in 90%+ of the games. so if you can track single games (i think you can do? ), you can track the mu as well (because everyone has displayed his main race on your site )

The information is pulled from Blizzard's site...so go over to the forums over there and review a profile...that's all the information available to Shadowed.
Blizz does have the capability to add more information to the site...hopefully we'll see that soon.

My division (http://www.sc2ranks.com/div/20172/division-archon-beta) shows that it was last updated 3 hours ago, yet the stats there are almost 2 days old, as they are for my player stats.
Am I missing something or what gives?

I'm playing protosses 9/10 games... I would prefer much more to play TvT than to play that i""a race.

Clear your cache, as I can see that the division matches your profile.

Hmm weird. It is not a cache issue at my end (obviously tried force-refresh and different browsers), and now also looked at the output through a foreign server, and they all show me as "Rank 3 in Division Archon Beta" and "2,758 in Diamond", where as my battle.net profile (http://eu.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/315782/1/Zuni/) shows the correct stats (rank 1, 2859 points).
Also if it was a cache issue, it wouldn't propably show "3 hours ago", especially since that number keeps refreshing when I queue a refresh. In any case, I downloaded the source through a foreign server and it also shows the incorrect data.
What points are you seeing?

I couldn't find myself through search, so I went to my division... and it didn't show me there either, but there was someone else with my points and my profile pic... and clicking, he'd played 2v2 games with my 2v2 partner (although he'd been renamed too). What's with that? Can I somehow disable that?!?
Maybe he was trying to score some internet bragging points coz we're #1 in our 2v2 division? LOL

There really should be a non case-sensitive option to search for players. I try to look up opponents while watching a livestream and can't see the capitalization quickly enough

For the player search feature I suggest having a drop-down menu that would allow you to indicate whether you are searching for 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, or 4v4 profiles.
For example I was searching for a player who goes by the name Devin in the US server, who is currently in bronze with over 300 games and is in the division Raven Charlie. Well if I search for Devin in North America using 'Is Exactly', I get tons of results but I see no Raven Charlie. Well in fact the Devin I am searching for is in that list but under his 2v2 random bronze division Victory Iota.
Why would the search use his 2v2 random anyways? He's only got 13 games there and only 109 points and rank 30, whereas for 1v1 he has 1799 points, is rank 2, and has over 300 games.
Anyways I think it would be easier if for the search options you can choose 1v1 etc for the results.

As I've said, case insensitive search will be coming back, but it's not a simple fix.

It looks like it did update, it's being a little slower than it should be though.

I would need the profile. It's likely that Blizzard broke something on their end again and it's mucking with names.

It uses the one with the highest points. Searching by name won't allow filtering by bracket, it's too much extra querying on something that's already slow. If you're looking for a specific person and you know info on the profile, you should be using the Profile Finder option.
