Whether it's a bug or not... when you sort search results by rating (by pressing the rating button) it sorts alphabetically instead of numerically. It also does not prioritize diamond over other leagues, but I know that's always been the case (but should be fixed)
Lastly, I think it would be a really useful feature if search results would display the rating of a matchup of the searcher's choosing (such as only 1v1), instead of just displaying their best matchup's rating.
Search sorting is a bug, prioritizing diamond is not a bug and won't be changed. Search results aren't going to get that kind of option, just filtering by bracket/league some point.

Added stat filtering by activity (last game played), this only applies to live data, not previous patches Good work, everyone here really appreciates it! Would changing the search to start on an exact search instead of a contains search reduce the load? I'm not sure how many querys you get but I often search a user's name and it's almost always exactly the name I want and rarely a search that contains some portion of something.

Most people search by contains, rather than an exact match. It wouldn't reduce the load much, if at all since the query doesn't change.

Does anyone know the criteria that blizzard uses when compiling their top 200? I'd like to use the same criteria when seeing the top 200 on SC2ranks.com. Very useful web site, btw!

Activity: * This is nice to see: As expected more than 12% of players are playing in diamond (looking at last 7 or 14 days of activity) and not only 7% when looking from the start of release. * Since last patch the number of zerg players actively playing has increased by almost 20%. * The point difference between zerg players (most points) and other players has decreased.

I mentioned this a few pages ago, but to rehash for people wondering:
Characters who are renamed will take roughly 12 - 24 hours to have their new name discovered. Basically when someone renames, I can't update their profile anymore, until I update their division using someone else's profile. This usually takes <48 hours, and more like 12 - 24 hours depending on voodoo magic.
Renames won't cause any sort of data loss.

Blizzards removed character codes from the battle.net armory, for the time being I've disabled showing them while I look into if it's a bug or intended.

During the last forum software update.

It's kinda hacky, but the character codes are still in the forum.

Forums are maybe 0.001% of the population of each region so it's not something I can use.
Working on getting confirmation, but I won't have an answer until Monday or Tuesday most likely. As soon as I hear anything I'll update you guys.

It says I'm #368 in the NA region...
Can someone explain how the Region:# works? I kind of figured that it didn't mean that I'm rank 368 in NA. Also when I search for who the 368th person is, there's no one with that rank in NA so I'm just kind of wondering what that number means. Same thing with the World:#
|
It means you're #368 in North America in your league, as in, there are 368 people in your league in North America who have more points than you. For world rank, it's the same thing but in your league across every region.

Woah wait are you the Shadowed that wrote Shadowed_UF for WoW?
I was just going to switch to Shadowed with this new patch (ag_uf finally seems to have broken forever after years and years of me using it) and it had to be turned over to a new author!
(Sorry if you're a different Shadowed.)

Yup, I'm the same Shadowed from the WoW addon community.

just wondering is it no longer possible to find the identifier by typing peoples name in the search? should i post his name or is that bad? please help as i want to view his match history. i didn't receive a win and doesn't show up in my match history so wondering if i should report as a bug to bliz

Not right now, it's Blizzards fault. Either it'll come back, or it's gone... and mostly it'll be gone.

I wish the API was stronger. For instance I would like to display a graph of Player Rank vs Points, and a frequency chart of ranks for instance 3000-2900 2900-2800 etc. It'd be great if you could sort it by race and server. I have a feeling that it is pretty much forced into a fixed shape by blizzard's matchmaking, but it would be nice to have a graphs of Points vs Player Rank over time (say a week or a month).
I tried downloading the top 5000 1v1 diamond data but I was pretty disappointed. First it only listed their current points. Second it actually goes all the way down to 1400! That doesn't make sense as the Rank #5000 player is over 1800 points.
The by region rankings seem correct however.

Im having a problem with updating my character... maybe someone knows whats up!
I use SC2ranks almost daily, just to check up on myself for fun. its easier and more informative that battle.net for me at least.
Recently, I havent been able to queue a refresh... the link where that normally is now permanently displays "refresh queued!" but never updates... tried it on multiple computers and connections.
Thanks for any help!
edit: maybe someone could check on their computer to see if it really is just something happening for me? NecronNN.864
thanks,

thanks,
I would need a profile link to check it.

By API, I'm guessing you mean the database dump? It's out of date right now, I haven't had time to update it to run on the new setup so it's using data from Oct 10th or so.
